------------------------------ Logging started for 192.168.1.82:#7thsea on Saturday, 3 July 2021 11:45:05 British Summer Time ------------------------------ ** You have joined #7thsea * Morgan goes to see Varick * Molly opens the door and looks over at Inga "We have peaches from the orchard, Morgan said I should ask you about Heinzharold liking them?" * Morgan snorts, descending into giggling (Molly) **Both Heinzharold and Inga sat on the couch go red, Varick must be in his room** (Morgan) Varick in his room? * Molly just looks confused. Inga nods, and Heinzharold grins at Morgan a moment** I like peaches, especially with cream. Do you like peaches with cream, yer worship? *his brows go up and Inga pinches him hard * Morgan sniggers, heading into Varicks room * Molly clearly hasn't seen any innuendo because she says "It's really good, my brothers and I used to have it at the farm all the time" **HH and Inga both start laughing* (Molly) **Varick is coming out, with Captain Ulysses dangling from his arm** Why is everyone laughing? ** You're now known as Varick * Morgan kneels down to hug the boy * Varick hugs him back, the cat breaking free (Varick) Are you sad? (Morgan) No... why would you think that? (Varick) Captain Ulysses says you smell a bit sad (Morgan) I don't think so * Varick shrugs (Varick) Mae wants to talk to you (Morgan) alright... (Varick) [Liebes herz, what am I missing, and why is it so funny?] (Morgan) [Ask Inga to explain...] (Varick) Shall we sit in my room, or tell everyone to go away? (Morgan) lets sit in your room, I wanted to spend some time with you anyway (Varick) **he hears the bedroom door and the outer door open. Varicks little room is quite messy with toys, books and crafts (Varick) Molly and Inga haven't tidied in here today (Morgan) You know you can do that? * Varick shrugs (Varick) They like tidying, I dont like tidying (Morgan) I'm not sur they do... besides, it'd be the right thing to do, to help * Varick sighs dramatically, like HH would (Varick) I suppose so * Morgan nods (Varick) Mae says she cant talk to them because they dont know Eisen * Varick sits on the floor, tidying (Morgan) I did wonder if that might be the case * Morgan sits down to help him (Varick) She says there's no special ghost language (Morgan) Thats a bit disappointing isn't it (Varick) She says it would be easier (Varick) She says the smaller the movement, the longer they can talk for, but it would be tiring after a while * Morgan nods (Morgan) thats what we thought (Varick) She says stick to yes and no as much as you can * Varick lines up his books (Morgan) Going to be tough, but I'll try (Varick) She says there's just the two of them. The father passed over (Morgan) does she know who they are? Or what relation they are? (Varick) She says no, because they cant understand her (Morgan) Alright (Varick) She says that's all she wanted to say * Morgan nods (Morgan) okay * Varick keeps tidying (Varick) Where did you go today? (Morgan) Onto the island, searched some tunnels and a house... talked to the ghosts... (Varick) I am good at that (Morgan) You're excellent at it... I had to make do with code (Varick) What sort of code? (Morgan) I would ask a question and if the answer was yes, the ghost would push two books off the shelf... if it was no it was one book (Varick) That's clever (Morgan) I was quite pleased with it (Varick) When can I go in the tunnels? (Morgan) I'm not sure... there's been a bit of a complication (Varick) Why? (Morgan) Can you ask Mae if she knows what the Sidhe are (Varick) She says she can hear you, and no she doesn't (Morgan) They're... well, people I suppose from... somewhere else. They can be very dangerous * Varick shrugs (Varick) She doesn't know (Morgan) we've found one of their markings on the island so we don't know if its safe for you to go down there yet (Varick) Like animal droppings? * Varick giggles (Morgan) think more... markings on trees (Varick) Okay. Can I go to the beach? (Morgan) We probably can (Varick) When? (Morgan) When do you want to? (Varick) Now? (Morgan) Alright then (Varick) But you wanted to spend time with me (Morgan) I will be if we're on the beach (Varick) Have about Molly and Heinzharold and Inga? (Varick) What* * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) they can come if they want (Varick) Inga hasn't been to the beach either * Morgan nods (Morgan) you think she'd like to? * Varick nods (Morgan) Alright then, lets go ask (Varick) **the study is empty when Varick follows Morgan in (Morgan) well, lets see if we can find them (Varick) Where are we going to look? (Varick) **the cat is sat on the desk licking himself in a very undignified manner (Morgan) Does Mae know? (Varick) She says she doesn't like spying on people * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) lets see if they're in their rooms * Varick lets Morgan lead the way * Morgan heads through the ship to their room (Varick) **he can hear them* HH: He'll never tell her * Morgan slows (Varick) I: Its a bit too rude, even for me to say! * Morgan knocks on the door (Varick) **Inga opens the door* Oh, Morgan! (Varick) **HH is smirking** (Morgan) Varick and I are going to walk on the beach, and we were wondering if you'd like to come along (Varick) HH: Missin' me already? * Morgan looks at his friend (Morgan) no (Varick) I: *she smiles* we'd love to (Varick) HH: *he acts like he's been stabbed in the heart, falling face first onto the bed with a fake groan* * Varick laughs at HH * Morgan rolls his eyes (Varick) I: shall we meet you on deck? Is Molly coming? (Varick) **HH stands up, going through their luggage** (Morgan) I'll find out (Morgan) [blossom, we're going to take a walk on the beach, Varick, Inga, HeinzHarold and I... would you like to come?] (Varick) HH: Swimming? (Varick) [mmhmm. Yes, I'll join you] (Morgan) If you want to, I'm planning to later (Varick) I want to swim! (Morgan) [apparently we're swimming] (Varick) [You would not mind Heinzharold seeing me in a soaking wet shift, or less?] (Varick) I: I will sit and watch, I dont swim well (Morgan) [I trust him. I don't know how Inga would take it though] (Varick) [I can imagine she might be a little jealous...] (Varick) HH: I tried to teach 'er in the stream at the golden lantern, but she found it hard (Morgan) I'm not surprised if you were teaching her (Varick) **HH grins** I was (Varick) **Inga is blushing** I'll go and see if Molly wants to come with us, and find some towels * Morgan nods (Morgan) Of course (Varick) **Inga goes back towards the study. HH watches her go** (Varick) **HH finds some lightweight knee breeches** Gimme a minute to get these on then * Morgan nods (Morgan) we'll get our things together (Varick) **This is what they do. Varick is running in circles whilst Molly and Inga talk, all progressing towards the headland ** You're now known as HH (HH) Later, we need t' talk about th' vases (Morgan) Do we? * HH nods (HH) Vases don't throw th'mselves (Morgan) Ghost probably (HH) Nothin' else makes sense (Morgan) Unexpected breeze... wonky floorboard * HH looks at him (HH) Dont y' think I've thought o' that already? (Morgan) I think they make sense, thats all (HH) It lifted off th' cupboard to shoulder height, then flew across the room to hit the wall. (Morgan) Well, wonky floorboards make less sense unless they were boobytrapped * HH nods (Morgan) Having experienced this place before, that is entirely possible (HH) I know its uncom't'ble, but I think y' might have a ghost. Sorry. (Morgan) Spend some time in Avalon, things like that start to bother you less * HH nods * Morgan looks at him momentarily (Morgan) might need you to spend a lot of time here (HH) Don't like it, but I guess it makes no odds if I like it or not (HH) **up ahead Varick, Molly and Inga are about to round the curve. The women are giggling (Morgan) I'm sorry I'm putting you through all this (HH) You'd do it for me (Morgan) always (Morgan) I wish this was the most... uncomfortable thing though (HH) Yeah, what _is_ this issue with the circle of stones and mushrooms? (Morgan) Its a sign the Site have been here... though maybe not recently (HH) Gonna investigate? (Morgan) No (HH) Why? **Inga, Molly and Varick are now out of sight** (Morgan) Because I've dealt with them before and know I cant beat them if they turn nasty (HH) Then what? Abandon the island? (Morgan) No... I'm just not willing to put you at risk by letting you near them (HH) And them *he nods his head in the direction of the corner* (Morgan) I meant collectively * HH nods (HH) Got more to do here before the mainland? * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye (HH) **they get around too. The girls have laid down a sheet, and are watching Varick dig with a small shovel * HH taps Morgan on the arm "sprint?" * Morgan nods (HH) On your marks, get set *he starts running before he shouts GO!* * Morgan breaks into a sprint (HH) **There's nothing to tell between them, and only HHs headstart sees him get there first. He skids in the sand before dropping down to kiss Inga's cheek (HH) I: Don't you be getting all the sand on here, Heinzharold! *theyre all laughing* * HH gets up, taking off his boots "I haven't been on a beach in years. Last one was probably at Insel, before I got captured" * Morgan drops down by Molly (HH) **Molly smiles warmly, speaking quietly* well, hello, my love (Morgan) blossom (HH) I: Was that when it took them all day to find you? *he nods* Was August. Thought I'd be burnt to a crisp in tha' sun. (HH) **Molly looks from Morgan to HH** Was that at Dietmund? **she has been to the Vaticine camp Morgan rescued him from twice now in dreams** * HH looks at Morgan "Yep, tha's the one. D'ya tell her this stuff to send her off to sleep a' night *he grins* (Morgan) I like to regail her with tales of your heroism * HH nods (HH) Lots to tell (HH) **Molly and Inga laugh** (HH) Did y' tell her about when I rescued tha' village by th' Angoehelm Wald from the fire-breathing Dragon? (Morgan) No, I tend to stick to ones that actually happened (HH) **they laugh again** Wha' about the night I sang back to th' sirens and _they_ wanted to seduce _me_? (HH) **Varick looks up from his digging at Morgan** What does "seduce" mean? (HH) **Molly bites her lip, glancing at Inga who is trying not to laugh* (Morgan) Yes, HeinzHarold, what _does_ it mean? (HH) **HH grins* Doesn't surprise me that yer majesty doesn't know. (Morgan) Best explain it then... (HH) **Varick looks at HH, waiting*. HH looks out of his depth** Well, it's when... ummm... * Morgan watches him quietly (HH) **Molly smiles, shaking her head** It's a bit like wooing someone, Mauschen. Like trying to make them want to kiss and marry you. (HH) **HH watches Morgan, raising his eyebrows* (Morgan) Got out of that one, didn't you (HH) V: Ugh, yuck. I am never getting married. Not ever. * HH nods "Her majesty has taken pity on this lowly blacksmith's son" (HH) **Molly giggles, watching Morgan** * Morgan rolls his eyes (HH) V: *he looks at HH* Did you want to get married when you were seven? **HH shakes his head** Not 'til I was twenty seven *he winks at Inga* (HH) **Inga blushes, then Varick looks at Morgan** Did you? (Morgan) No... (HH) V: Don't get a choice when you're noble *he looks sad* * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) Oh I don't know about that (HH) **Molly holds her arms out to Varick, to which he comes to sit on her lap and she hugs him* Marriage isn't bad. It's really quite beautiful. It's like you're building a lovely castle together from lots of different colour bricks, little happy memories and special moments. Something safe and permanent. (HH) **Inga smiles at HH, who comes to sit and put an arm around her back* (Morgan) Thats rather poetic (HH) **Molly blushes, smiling "it's just honest" (HH) **He notices a slight micro-expression of unease in her expression** (HH) V: What if I have to marry someone I dont like though. What if she doesn't like cats? *he looks at Morgan* (Morgan) Thats why you get to know them first (HH) V: Won't you pick for me, so it's good for Koln? (Morgan) I wasn't planning to... If you're a good man, you would choose someone good for you and Koln anyway (HH) V: Do I have to marry a noble? (HH) **A look passes between Molly, Inga and HH* * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) it makes things easier (HH) I'm about ready for some swimming, whose coming in? (HH) V: Me, me!! (HH) Morgan? * Morgan nods (Morgan) Aye, may as well (HH) **HH takes off his shirt, dropping it in Inga's lap. She laughs. Molly is purposefully not looking (HH) **Varick copies him* * Morgan doesn't * HH looks at Varick "Come on then" he runs down to the tide line, Varick following him ** You're now known as Molly * Morgan walks along behind them (Molly) **HH and Varick have a lot of fun swimming and splashing. Edward was right; Karsten did a good job teaching Varick to swim, he's a good swimmer * Molly and Inga have fans, and are sat gossiping, occasionally waving to Varick when he waves to them. ((How much does he participate in messing around with them?)) (Morgan) ((a fair bit)) (Molly) **This lasts a couple of hours, and then Molly calls them back in, saying she has something for them. Varick is first out running to them and sitting between the women. HH stands in the water, watching them with a smile. He looks more contented than Morgan has ever seen him* ** You're now known as HH (HH) It's going to chafe him, as he gets older, isn' it? (Morgan) what is? (HH) Nobility * Morgan nods (HH) I wouldn't want it * Morgan nods (Morgan) He needs his own HeinzHarold (HH) **Molly is rooting around in the bag she brought with them, and Inga is towelling Varick's hair. HH smiles** He does (HH) **he looks at Morgan, grinning* unforchunately, they broke th' mould when they made me * Morgan nods (Morgan) That they did (HH) **Molly hands Varick a peach (HH) **Inga looks out at HH and he groans* I'm not 'earing the end o' this, am I? (Morgan) Not likely * HH nods, walking out of the water * Morgan follows him out (HH) **She has peaches for everyone. Morgan's is absolutely perfect, just like in the dream where she was the lord's daughter and he the lord's groom getting seduced in the peach tree orchard** (HH) **Molly eats hers, looking thoughtful** (Morgan) These aren't bad... (HH) **Everyone nods, but Molly is distracted, looking slightly serious rather than daydreamy* (Morgan) Problem blossom? (HH) M: *she shakes her head* Old memory, that's all. * Morgan nods slowly (Morgan) alright (HH) **Peaches all gone, its starting to get cooler, and he estimates its after five, the time Varick is usually fed. Molly starts to pack the bag, but leaves a towel and the sheet. She looks at Inga and HH** I'll see to Varick, you don't need to rush back. **Only HH looks surprised by this* (HH) **They leave them on the beach. Molly walks back at Morgan's side, a towel-wrapped Varick only a little ahead** That was nice ** You're now known as Molly * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye, it was (Molly) You do not mind leaving them there? (Morgan) Why would I? (Molly) I wasnt sure if you would find it improper (Morgan) to leave a married couple together? (Molly) I suppose not *she smiles* (Morgan) quite (Molly) I think there should be enough light for me to go up to tend the animals * Morgan nods (Morgan) want me to come? * Molly smiles slightly (Molly) If James or Claudia will watch Varick, yes. Unless you wish to feed him and take him along? (Morgan) I'm loathe to do that until I know more about when the Sidhe were last here * Molly nods (Molly) How will we find that out? (Morgan) I don't know yet (Molly) **they round the curve of the land* (Molly) Madchen was in my dream again (Morgan) I know * Molly glances at his expression (Molly) ((Expression please)) (Morgan) ((calm)) (Molly) She was bigger this time (Morgan) she could almost talk (Molly) Could she? (Morgan) What was happening? * Molly looks at the sand just in front of her feet (Molly) It was the same issue as in my nightmare, except I knew about the nightmare, so I knew what might happen (Morgan) Right * Molly sighs (Morgan) I'll find out when I read it... * Molly nods (Molly) Yes. And then it will be done. (Molly) Do you wish me to tell you about the old memory I had? (Morgan) If it is not painful for you (Molly) It is, but I want you to see that I am trying * Molly takes his hand (Morgan) Is it as painful as your nightmare? (Molly) No liebling. I dont know that much would be * Morgan nods (Morgan) then if you can, tell me (Molly) I was in trouble for something, and Mama had sent me to bed without any pudding. Cecily sneaked me a peach, and we sat on our bed sharing it. Yet I still cant see her face, I just remember the taste, and the sound of her laugh. * Morgan nods * Molly squeezes his hand (Molly) Aside from her singing Kosk Yn Ta, and how I occasionally see her yet can't remember how she looked, it's the first memory I've recovered * Morgan nods (Morgan) progress? * Molly shrugs (Molly) Perhaps. I was very young, it isn't surprising that I dont have memories of her (Morgan) aye * Molly looks at him (Molly) I would still like you to see if you can read my mind and see her as I fall asleep * Morgan nods (Morgan) We'll try it (Molly) It does not need to be tonight, whilst you have much on your mind about the ghosts, and the machine, and the fair folk * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye, that wouldn't be a good idea (Molly) Thank you, liebling. My parents have always been very reluctant to talk about any of my siblings that died. I did not used to understand it, but I think I do now. * Morgan nods (Morgan) Its not something most people would understand (Molly) I know I cannot possibly fathom the depth of it, but I understand more than I used to * Morgan nods (Molly) I only hope I never have to. Does that sound selfish? (Morgan) Not at all (Molly) Good. Do Madchen could nearly talk? (Molly) So* * Morgan nods (Morgan) ma, pa, mae, eh... * Molly smiles (Molly) That's nice * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye (Molly) It implies perhaps we are right, she is a future possibility? (Morgan) Maybe... though don't forget the Nieblungen don't know what she is * Molly nods briefly (Molly) Maybe they dont know everything. Maybe they arent infallible. *she watches out over the waves* * Morgan nods (Molly) Do you like seeing her? (Morgan) yes and no (Molly) Because you do not know what she is? * Morgan nods (Molly) And because if we aren't right, it will feel like you're losing something? (Morgan) aye * Molly nods (Molly) Do you think she will continue to age? (Molly) **they're getting near the ship (Morgan) I've no idea at all (Molly) It would be easier when she could properly talk to you? * Morgan nods (Morgan) I suppose it would (Molly) But also harder too? * Morgan nods * Molly watches Varick go up the gang plank, taking a deep breath (Molly) Maybe you could read the nightmare whilst I go up to the farm? I could take Claudia and some crew? * Morgan nods (Morgan) alright, if you'd prefer that * Molly nods (Molly) I would * Morgan frowns (Morgan) alright * Molly squeezes his hand. They go back on board. Arrangements are made for Varick's food and for Claudia to gather the crew needed. Once Varick is fed and settled quietly drawing, she squares her shoulders and looks to Morgan (Molly) I'm going to go now. I'll be an hour or so. (Morgan) alright my love * Molly motions him to follow her into the hall * Morgan does so (Molly) It's in the folder with the others * Morgan nods * Molly wraps her arms around his neck, looking into his eyes (Molly) I love you. Endlessly. (Morgan) and I you * Molly nods (Molly) I know you do. * Molly kisses him softly (Morgan) Be careful * Molly nods, letting go, giving him a last little smile "I will" before heading down the corridor * Morgan goes to find the paperwork (Molly) **James interrupts him with the offer to watch Varick, giving Morgan opportunity to take it with him to read in the bedroom uninterrupted ((as he's fully alone for it, we can just go to him coming out, as with the church. Just let me know how long he is in there at the end)) (Molly) **The parchment is dated with this morning's date** I was in our house in Kiev. You had bought one because it was exactly what we were looking for, though it was very much like lady torrington's really. We had spent the summer renovating it, knowing we were off again to Capperlucia in the autumn. Edward and your Father were due to visit, so I was dusting in our great hall. (Molly) A dark-haired man came with them, wheeling a cart. Edward ushered me out, and I could hear the man putting something together and reciting some incantation in Castillean. Some strange bells started. (Molly) They told me he was a spell-caster, a Cortiez, a Time Weaver. He could combine clockwork and magic to make a portal back in time to any moment. I was floored. I was _hurt_. (Molly) They explained how they had everything planned, and had written themselves notes on what to change so that everything would work out perfectly, for you and for Sudlachenburg. I felt sick. After all the times I have confided in them both, I could not believe it. (Molly) I tried to explain how it was so dangerous, and how you would never approve. I was certain that as soon as you arrived you would tell them they had by far overstepped the mark and how you would have nothing to do with it. I told them that you were happy here, that you loved me. But they wouldn't listen. (Molly) I went to sit on the grass as they went inside. Somehow, I summoned the Nieblungen. I explained that they were trying to do something against all the work the Nieblungen had done for five centuries. I hoped they'd intervene. (Molly) They told me that you going back in time would not damage the convergence, it would just be our children, so they did not need to do anything. (Molly) I asked if you and I being together meant nothing, and they said the convergence was all that mattered. They said I would have to remember, and they knew I would not fail in my duty to Eisen. And You would do what you would do. (Molly) As you might imagine, I was devastated, and lost my temper. I accused them of using me as a brood mare, and that it was hideous they would expect me to give you up and have to live the rest of my life knowing I should have been your wife, was your wife in my heart always. (Molly) But although I was angry and upset, I was alright, because I knew you wouldn't allow me to suffer like that, and that even if the Nieblungen didn't care about our marriage, it meant the world to you. (Molly) Then you came down from the woods with your rifle. I watched you, and I felt calm. I knew I did not need to worry. You'd asked why I had been crying as if you were preparing to harm anyone who had caused it. (Molly) So I said skeptically "Your Father and Edward have brought a sorcerer to our home who supposedly can take the three of you back in time to the end of the War, so that they can make Dietlinde a gentleman's daughter and you can marry her without any of the negative consequences, and you'll all live happily ever after!" (Molly) I expected your anger, or even that quiet coldness you get before someone is taken to task. But you didn't get cross or detached. Instead your eyes filled with tears, and you were grinning, looking excited and also relieved. A knife to the belly could not have hurt me more. I just nodded, if I'd opened my mouth to speak I'd have been sick with my heartache. (Molly) "What happens to you?" you asked, as if it was an afterthought. I shrugged. What was the point in telling you what I would endure when it was so clear that there was no question that you would stay. You pressed my hands in yours, and said "Thank you, you don't know what this means to me". (Molly) Then you kissed my cheek, as one would kiss a sister, because all this, me and our love, was just a temporary bad dream, and you were a happily married man going home to your wife and child. I'm not sure you were even all that aware I was there, and you sprinted off down the hill, without even a backwards glance. (Molly) I sat on the grass, trying to find in myself the strength to use my crested knife to end it all, because I wanted to die in a way I have never, ever wanted to die before. But I couldn't, because of Eisen. Because of my duty. (Molly) Then suddenly I woke up, feeling so sick and distressed. I told you I loved you before I left the room, because I couldn't tell you a final time in the nightmare. Because it didn't matter, and I didn't matter. (Molly) What scares me most is that it is a possible future, that this Time Weaver could exist, and could even be Eckname if the ball gave him the ability, and that you might want to find him and go back. My head tells me, now that I have calmed from it, that you wouldn't leave me like that, but a part of my heart is still scared. (Molly) And I cannot bear to perhaps see the reaction to the slim possibility on your face. I would rather have you for however long I can, as we are. I love you, liebes herz, as always. ((done)) ** You're now known as Varick (Morgan) ((about half an hour)) (Varick) **theres a tap on the door just as he's about to come out** (Morgan) Come in (Varick) **James opens the door** Sorry to bother you, my Lord, but Varick was asking if you or Molly or Heinzharold or Inga was putting him to bed as it's time to (Morgan) I'll put him to bed (Varick) **James nods, heading off into the study to say goodnight to Varick, and then out of the study too * Morgan goes into the study (Morgan) come on then young man * Varick wanders through to his room. Captain Ulysses is already asleep on the bed. He undresses and gets in (Varick) When are we going to see the other children? (Morgan) other children? (Varick) My sort-of cousins (Morgan) Soon... I've got a few things to do here... I'm hoping I can help the ghosts rest * Varick nods (Varick) I would like to help too * Morgan nods (Morgan) We'll have to see what can be done (Varick) Will you read to me now? * Morgan nods (Morgan) if you want (Varick) **The next chapter of the Ulysses book starts to feel familiar. Another character who was part of Ulysses crew has lost his wife, and this man, Pericles must follow her into the underworld. The god of the underworld says she can come back, but only if he can walk out of the underworld without looking back to check she is following. It's very like a dream he had in Starke where Void made him a similar deal, and he did not know if Molly would follow him * Varick listens to the story, and at the end of the chapter he says "I would not look back" (Morgan) no? * Varick shakes his head (Varick) If I look back, she definitely can't come with me. If I dont look back, she might be there and come with me. Might is better than definitely can't. * Morgan nods (Morgan) that makes sense * Varick nods (Varick) Goodnight Morgan (Morgan) Goodnight Varick, sleep well (Varick) I love you (Morgan) I love you too * Morgan quietly gets up and heads out of the room (Varick) **From the rear window, he can see the sun is not far from setting. Its after seven already * Morgan settles into his chair at the desk, pouring himself some scotch (Varick) **Noone disturbs him. The light into the room gets lower, now needing a lamp. (Morgan) [Are you alright blossom?] (Varick) [Claudia and I are watching the sunset from the farm. We will be back soon, and I will ensure food is brought to you, it looks like the crew are lighting the camp fires. *she sounds slightly formal, careful*] (Varick) **it certainly sounds like the men are going out on the beach. He can hear singing, and his sharp ears and familiarity tell him Heinzharold is out there* * Morgan waits quietly, sipping his scotch (Varick) **Its another half an hour before there's a knock on the door, the bonfires giving a small orange flicker to the dark outside the window (Morgan) Come ** You're now known as Molly * Molly opens the door, carrying a plate of hot food and cutlery. She is careful with her footing, and puts in on the desk. Then she looks up (Molly) Heinzharold wondered if you wanted to take your guitar down on the beach and join in the singing. If you wish to, I am happy to stay here incase Varick wakes (Morgan) No, I rather think I'd prefer to be here with you * Molly nods (Molly) Is there anything else I can get you? Blokners, or something hot to drink? (Morgan) Doesn't matter if its hot, I can take care of that * Molly smiles (Molly) I'll fetch some tea then * Morgan nods * Molly goes to do so. She's gone about five minutes before bringing a tray. She pours cold water into two cups (Molly) Stone cold I'm afraid * Morgan shrugs * Molly waits for him to heat it up and then makes the tea. She sits across the desk from him (Molly) How was Varick? (Morgan) Fine... Wants to know when he'll see his sort of cousins * Molly smiles (Molly) I think that depends upon when you are ready for us two. I am told you have a Ketch? (Molly) To* * Morgan nods (Morgan) doubled the size of my fleet in an afternoon * Molly laughs (Molly) It could be useful for going to and from the mainland I think * Morgan nods (Morgan) easier to manoeuvre than the Rose * Molly comes round beside him, taking a map from the drawer (Molly) One of the crew said it would be about an hour for the Rose each way, or ninety minutes for the Ketch * Molly gently puts the map beside his plate, looking at it "what thinks you?" (Molly) ((It's a good estimate)) * Morgan nods slowly (Morgan) sounds about right * Molly looks at him (Molly) So either we could take the Rose and have a more permanent base there, or take the Ketch back and forth but stay here on the island? (Morgan) You have a preference? (Molly) I haven't really given it any thought * Molly goes to sit back across the desk, blowing on her tea (Morgan) It'd be quite nice to be able to come back to our own land... * Molly nods (Molly) It would (Morgan) sounds like that might be an idea then (Molly) I must warn you though, it's likely I will have much to do at Sunnymeade * Morgan nods (Morgan) I didn't really expect anything else * Molly nods (Molly) And we will need to go up to see Lady Torrington * Morgan nods (Molly) I'd... I'd like to show you the churches I went to as a child and when I visited my parents back in the spring * Morgan nods (Morgan) if you wish blossom (Molly) Thank you *she sips her tea* * Morgan sips his tea (Molly) **the singing outside is getting more boisterous, the tunes ruder* (Molly) Would you wish to have one of the houses sorted for us to stay in? (Molly) ((Is he eating?)) (Morgan) ((not yet)) (Morgan) uhhh... I'm not entirely sure * Molly nods (Molly) That will depend on the ghosts and the fair folk? * Morgan nods (Morgan) I reckon so * Molly nods, sipping her tea (Molly) I'm just going to get my shawl * Morgan nods, starting to eat * Molly stands up, going to the bedroom. The food is pretty good. She comes back a few minutes later wrapped up in it (Molly) What were you thinking for talking to the ghosts again? (Morgan) I don't know... it needs to be easy to move, and ideally yes or no answers, its less tiring that way * Molly nods (Molly) We are going into the tunnels to do it? (Morgan) No, we'll go through the tunnels to let Charlotte know we're starting then on to the house * Molly nods (Molly) In daylight? * Morgan nods slightly (Morgan) too right * Molly smiles as well (Molly) Who is going with us? (Morgan) Probably Claudia... (Molly) If I had known we would find some supernatural nonsense, I'd have suggested an Avalonian crew * Morgan nods (Morgan) I know... (Molly) Sensible, logical, pragmatic... *she smiles slightly, sipping her tea* (Morgan) Less freaked out by things that go bump in the night * Molly nods (Molly) The view where we saw the sunset from was lovely * Morgan nods (Morgan) I'm not surprised (Molly) Maybe another time we could sit up there together and watch it? * Morgan nods (Morgan) sounds good to me (Molly) How is your food? * Morgan nods (Morgan) very good * Molly smiles (Molly) Good * Molly quietly sips her tea before saying (Molly) Would you like to play cards? I'd invite Inga and Heinzharold but they're outside on the beach (Morgan) If you wish blossom (Molly) No quinze (Morgan) No... (Molly) Poker though? * Morgan nods (Morgan) that'll be fine * Molly nods. She busies herself tidying up the study whilst he eats, and then pours some cherry brandy and brings it with a pack of cards to the table (Molly) I think we should try to go up to the house early... what do you think? (Morgan) Probably the best idea (Molly) I'd like to have Heinzharold and the crew with experience shear the sheep? * Morgan nods (Morgan) fine (Molly) Do you think the other crew should stay here, rather than fixing up, until we know more about the fair folk? * Morgan nods (Morgan) I think so (Molly) Alright, liebling (Molly) **she gets on with dealing, just playing a few hands. He's beating her fairly easily tonight* * Molly keeps her glass fairly well topped up as they play (Molly) Heinzharold and Inga were looking very happy when I saw them (Morgan) He certainly enjoyed his swim (Molly) He managed to persuade her in, guessing from her hair * Morgan nods (Morgan) she's not terribly confident in the water * Molly nods (Molly) I wonder if time needs to be given to it. She needs to be able to swim if something happened * Morgan nods (Morgan) agreed * Molly tilts her head (Molly) I winder if you should teach her * Molly lays down a good hand, sipping the brandy again (Morgan) me? (Molly) You're a good teacher * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) I'm not sure about that (Molly) You did manhood job with me (Molly) A good* * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) I suppose so * Molly smiles thoughtfully (Molly) I think you did (Molly) She said I need to ask you about this thing with the peaches. It's more suitable for a husband to explain, apparently (Morgan) Chicken... (Morgan) the peaches in the song is a euphemism (Molly) What song? (Morgan) There's a song that HeinzHarold seems to sing when he's drunk... about peaches and cream... * Molly sips the brandy, dealing again (Molly) Perhaps it is an Eisen cultural thing, I don't understand (Morgan) Well, the song is about covering a girls peaches in cream... both of which are euphemisms * Molly seems to be puzzling on this (Molly) The peaches are the cheeks of her bottom? (Morgan) breasts * Molly frowns (Molly) That seems much less logistically viable (Morgan) I think you're overthinking it * Molly nods a little (Molly) I'm... just surprised. And we Avalonians think practically * Morgan nods * Molly blushes (Molly) Heinzharold was singing the song and that is why everyone is laughing? * Morgan nods * Molly nods, returning to the game and the cards. She's still looking a little puzzled a few hands later (Morgan) You're struggling with it? (Molly) I think I understand what it means... (Molly) I am puzzling on whether it is just a silly song, or if it is something people do, like with The Bear And The Maiden Fair. And if so, why didn't I hear about it on the Coral? (Morgan) Its something some people do... and I don't know... maybe its not feminine enough for them * Molly folds her hand (Molly) It is unfeminine? (Morgan) Tis rather bawdy (Molly) Its... I suppose I'm not sure I really understand how or why it is done * Morgan shrugs (Molly) Should I ask Inga, do you think? (Morgan) You could... I don't know she'll tell you * Molly nods slowly, dealing again (Molly) Theres not really anyone else I could ask (Morgan) No, probably not... I dread to think what Claudia's answer would be (Molly) Would she know? * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) I've no idea * Molly smiles mischievously (Molly) I know, I could ask Edward (Morgan) Now he _would_ know * Molly nods (Molly) At the wedding perhaps? * Molly giggles (Morgan) I'm not entirely sure he'd handle that well (Molly) **she nods smirking* Perhaps when the Priest asks if anyone has anything to say they should do so now? * Morgan nods (Morgan) that'd certainly liven the event up (Molly) It would. Can you imagine your Father's face? * Morgan nods (Morgan) red, purple, white... * Molly smiles (Molly) The white bit seems relevant * Molly goes bright red (Molly) I... umm... * Morgan laughs (Morgan) indeed * Molly sips the brandy biting her lip. Her cards are dreadful this time (Molly) Maybe Stef would be better to ask... (Morgan) Maybe, actually... * Molly smiles to herself a moment before dealing again (Molly) Has Heinzharold mentioned the embarassing incident last night with us against the door? (Morgan) Not really, no... Though he seems to think me overhearing him telling Inga about the peaches and cream being euphemisms make us even in that respect (Molly) Oh gosh I hadn't realised you'd heard him! Was it amusing? * Morgan nods (Molly) Would you repeat it for me? (Morgan) what? (Molly) What he was saying? * Morgan repeats it, drunken drawl and all * Molly is covering her eyes giggling (Molly) Oh my goodness! (Morgan) Quite (Molly) It doesn't sound like he stayed awake long enough (Morgan) No, he was snoring rather quickly (Molly) Unfortunate *she giggles* * Morgan nods (Molly) Inga _hates_ being woken up when she's been asleep. One would think a husband, even drunk, would know that? (Morgan) oh he knows... he was quite displeased with himself for doing it when I told him (Molly) That's quite sweet * Morgan nods (Morgan) ish * Molly squares her shoulders so slightly that it's almost only a micro-expression (Molly) I am a little more accommodating when it comes to being disturbed, so you may drunkenly sing rude songs to me as you please (Morgan) I don't really go in for drunkenly singing (Molly) No... * Molly smiles, topping up her cherry brandy and offering to top up his scotch * Morgan nods * Molly pours (Molly) You see my meaning though? (Morgan) No, I've no idea * Molly looks to see if he's teasing her * Morgan looks sincere (Molly) Simply that should you find yourself in Heinzharold's situation, you need not feel bad about waking me * Morgan nods slowly (Morgan) I see (Molly) Not that you drink so heavily as that... (Morgan) No... (Molly) Unless you're with Edward (Morgan) Even then it doesn't seem like it affects me that much (Molly) No... so I shouldn't expect you to appear in our bed in such a situation... * Molly smiles * Morgan nods (Morgan) indeed * Molly nods, focusing on her cards a minute (Molly) But if you just needed me... * Molly bites her lip, exchanging two cards * Morgan nods * Molly glances up at him, smiling (Molly) You already know? (Morgan) You've mentioned it before * Molly nods (Molly) Good * Molly plays another two hands before she puts the cards down, sighing (Molly) I suppose we should start to prepare the nightmare preventions * Morgan nods * Molly downs the rest of the cherry brandy in her glass (Molly) It does not do to avoid that which makes us uneasy, I suppose (Morgan) No, I suppose not * Molly tidies away a little, then stands still, looking at the bedroom door (Molly) Are you retiring now, or do you have things to see to? * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) nothing I can think of right now * Molly nods, going on through. She prepares for bed, emerging from behind the screen in a thin dressing gown. She sits on the bed, waiting to follow his lead on helping him with the oil. (Molly) Do you wish to have my help? (Morgan) always, if you are willing * Molly nods (Molly) Absolutely willing. * Molly kneels on the bed, applying it to his bare shoulders, chest and temples. He hears her thoughts spill over "I am so lucky to have this" * Morgan hums quietly (Molly) ((Anything in particular?)) (Morgan) ((no)) * Molly rubs her hands together when she is done, sitting back against the pillows (Molly) Is that alright? * Morgan nods (Morgan) perfect * Molly smiles (Molly) Good. Maybe we'll be lucky tonight (Morgan) As long as its me that has to deal with it, thats acceptable * Molly bows her head (Molly) I wish you didn't have to * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) I'd rather it that way round * Molly nods (Molly) I can understand that. It's not easy, is it? * Morgan smiles slightly (Morgan) no (Molly) We dont have much that is easy, really * Molly chews her lower lip a moment * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) some (Molly) You think so? * Morgan nods (Molly) What things do you think are easy? * Molly moves to sucking the middle of her lower lip. Its serious rather than trying to seduce (Morgan) Loving you... * Molly smiles warmly (Molly) That's easy for you? (Morgan) exceptionally * Molly blushes, smiling (Molly) Thank you (Molly) Can you think of anything else? (Morgan) all kinds of things, but nothing as important as that * Molly nods (Molly) Nothing is as important as that * Morgan nods * Molly fidgets a little, removing the robe and immediately slipping beneath the sheets (Molly) I should wake you, if I have a nightmare, before I leave? * Morgan nods (Molly) Because it's not safe here * Molly watches him to see if he's getting in * Morgan climbs in (Morgan) Because I would help you * Molly nods turning on her side to face him but stays on her side (Molly) I need to let you (Morgan) Yes you do * Molly nods (Molly) I will wake you (Morgan) Good (Molly) Will you wake me? * Morgan nods (Morgan) if I need to blossom (Molly) Whatever the reason we have all these bad dreams, I think we have to face it together * Morgan nods (Molly) And that means I have to lean on you more, despite it being hard (Morgan) yes, it does * Molly giggles (Molly) I promise it was not supposed to be a euphemism * Morgan chuckles * Molly shifts a little, wriggling into the bed (Molly) Sometime soon, things are going to be a little more... (Morgan) more... (Molly) Conducive. * Morgan nods (Morgan) indeed (Molly) I'm thinking it'll be your birthday, the way things are going * Molly giggles (Morgan) sounds about right I suppose * Molly goes to say something, then shuts her mouth promptly, blushing * Morgan raises an eyebrow * Molly bites her lip (Molly) Something about fingers. (Morgan) Dare I ask you to elaborate? * Molly blushes again (Molly) Only that mine will be very, very practiced by November should that be the case... * Morgan laughs (Morgan) I see (Molly) I shouldn't have said that? (Morgan) Dont be silly (Molly) I do not want you to feel you are neglecting me (Morgan) Even though I am? (Molly) You aren't. We respond differently to things, that is all * Morgan nods slightly (Molly) I am content enough with my fantasies of you when I cannot have the reality... * Molly sounds genuine rather than teasing * Morgan frowns * Molly frowns too (Molly) What's wrong? (Morgan) I don't like the fact that I am not giving you what you wish for * Molly shakes her head (Molly) It's excessive, I am aware of that * Morgan shakes his head (Morgan) No, its not (Molly) Then you underestimate it, my love (Morgan) yet I do not provide that underestimation * Molly tries to read how serious he is * Morgan looks serious (Molly) I just want you to be happy, that is all. I respect your... frequency is not as frequent. (Morgan) More down to my reserve * Molly nods (Molly) I only wish I knew what scared you so * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) so do I (Molly) Or even just what help you want from me... (Morgan) I don't know that either (Morgan) There's just always so much to deal with... * Molly nods (Molly) In some ways, I find that makes it more prominent in my mind * Morgan nods * Molly thinks on it a minute (Molly) It's... *she frowns as she tries to express it* it's coming back to the centre... it's where the world finally makes sense * Morgan nods (Morgan) I understand, I think * Molly nods (Molly) I dont think it's like that for other people... (Morgan) Probably not (Molly) Perhaps I'll ask Inga that tomorrow * Morgan nods * Molly smiles (Molly) I think, mein liebling, it is time we sleep... * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye * Molly kisses his lips (Molly) Goodnight then... (Morgan) Goodnight my love * Molly turns over "shall I sing?" (Morgan) If you would (Molly) Always, liebling. Anything you would like? * Morgan shrugs * Molly starts singing the song she was playing earlier. She reaches back, intertwining her fingers with his * Morgan moves up behind her, shuffling to get comfortable * Molly leans back against him, the song becoming slower and more sleepy (Molly) **she smells like roses again, and it's this that he's noticing as he falls asleep. ** You are now disconnected ------------------------------ Logging started for 192.168.1.82:#7thsea on Sunday, 4 July 2021 09:04:59 British Summer Time ------------------------------ ** You have joined #7thsea ** You are now disconnected (Software caused connection abort) ------------------------------ Logging started for 192.168.1.82:#7thsea on Sunday, 4 July 2021 13:03:45 British Summer Time ------------------------------ ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected (Network connection lost) ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You are now disconnected ** Reconnecting to 192.168.1.82:6667… ** You have joined #7thsea (Molly) "Missives are here!" There's a scramble out of the hammocks to meet the sailor who has come below into the Enchiridon's chilly crew quarters, waking many from naps. (Molly) Morgan yawns. He'd been of the nappers, coming off middle watch. It's Prophet's Mass Day 1663, the keenness of the men to hear from their wives, children, lovers and parents understandable. He had heard from Sudlachenburg yesterday though. (Molly) His heart races, but he doesn't get up. This divvying up of letters and parcels happened most days, and very few of them were days he'd hear from her. (Molly) He breathes slow, hoping to slip back into the ballroom almost four months ago with his hand on Molly's lower back in the dancehold he had thought improper at the time but now with hindsight seems like one of his sweetest memories. (Molly) Her body against his, her sparkling eyes looking up at him, the scent of her hair… he drifts. (Molly) But Heinzharold, reassigned last month to join him on the Enchiridon speaks quietly in his ear in a falsetto "Lord Koertig, I hope you receive my letter whilst you're dreaming of me in your hammock…" Morgan punches his best friend's arm without even opening his eyes. (Molly) Heinzharold huffs "Fine way t' treat a messenger". He puts down the letter on Morgan's chest before hopping up into the next hammock. "So, what does your fine young lady 'av t' say?" He tosses a monkey fist made of rope to himself, watching Morgan. ((Done)) * Morgan picks it up to read it (Molly) **The parchment isn't flimsy. The seal is a fancy rose in a very unusual pink sealing wax. The wax itself is scented of roses. He carries these seals in his pocket, because when warmed in his hands in the cold of the night they smell like her** (Molly) **Her writing is very neat, too neat. She'd told him she'd come to writing late in life and had been schooled very hard the last few years to get it perfect* (Molly) HH: Smells nice. A lot better than it usually smells in 'ere. **There's no denying he is right, the smell of more than a hundred unwashed working men cramped together was enough to turn novice stomachs* * Morgan nods (Morgan) You think I keep the seals for fun? ** You're now known as HH (HH) I thought y' saved them to make earplugs so y' dont have to hear yourself playing the old girl * Morgan thumps him again * HH laughs (HH) **The perfumed letter is dated December 17th, and it's reached him in excellent time considering how hard it was to find any one of a hundred thousand mobilised troops in this damned war. A bored Heinzharold watches his every expression for some hints about its contents. It begins: (HH) My very dear Morgan, would it be dreadfully unseemly for a young lady to write to the handsome sailor she's sweet upon and wish him the most peaceful of Prophet's Masses? If so, I hope this unseemly letter reaches you swiftly and finds you safe and well. * Morgan smiles slightly * HH grins (HH) I miss you. I received your last missive with such excitement that I rode down to Wassermeer and looked out over the mainland and called out my thanks to you, wherever in Eisen you may be. (HH) Of course you cannot tell me where you are or what you are doing. I would so adore to hear your voice telling me that. (Morgan) I think she likes me... (HH) She decided she's followin' the drum? (Morgan) Dont be absurd (HH) Stowin' away in boy's clothes and takin' an 'ammock in here? (Morgan) Like you have? (HH) Quick, call th' barber-surgeon, I'm mortally wounded! * HH starts humming a rude song about peaches and cream as he continues to watch Morgan's expression (Morgan) you're an ass is what you are (HH) Yes, but I'm the best ass you have * Morgan rolls his eyes, going back to the letter (HH) ~I was very pleased to hear your best friend had joined you. My tender heart is more at ease knowing you will be happier each day for seeing him. ~ * Morgan glances at HeinzHarold (Morgan) well... maybe... * HH is still watching him whilst throwing the makeshift ball (HH) Only maybe? (Morgan) she thinks I'll be happier for having you here (HH) Talking 'bout me, is she? Finally it gets _really_ interestin' (Morgan) She doesn' know what an idiot y'are (HH) Give 'er time *he grins* * Morgan nods, continuing (HH) **the ink density changes abruptly** Since writing the above, some exciting news! It is anticipated that there will be a two month spring leave for certain units. My Father will write to you to extend an invitation to stay here with us! (HH) Heinzharold would be welcome to come also, the house we're staying at is large, and our hosts are very proud of our valiant Objectionist service men. (Morgan) huh... that'd be nice (HH) Wassat? (Morgan) rumour of a two month leave... we're invited to a house (HH) Be nice t' sleep in a room that's not full o' snoring men * Morgan nods (HH) How does your pretty lassie know tha'? * Morgan shrugs, reading some more (HH) I would so love to see you, Morgan, but I will not impose upon you, for I know you must be most homesick for your dear Sudlachenburg. I keep the drawing you kindly sent me of it upon my writing desk, I am looking at it now. (HH) "Maybe she's secretly a sultry spy, aiming to vest you of your secrets and your... well, vest!" (Morgan) That'd be jus' my luck * HH laughs (HH) ~I treasure all your beautiful drawings but, my sweetheart, the one I most yearn for is one of your most lovely self, that I might keep it close whilst I pray for your safety and thank our heavenly Father for the blessing I have in knowing you. ~ (Morgan) She wants a drawing of me... you still stuck at stickmen? * HH starts laughing hard (HH) Hang on, she wants a drawing _of you_?! * Morgan nods (HH) Is she trying to ward off monsters or sumthin'? (Morgan) mus' be (HH) Y' best find a mirror th'n * Morgan rolls his eyes (Morgan) I s'pose so (HH) ~I have been playing on the grand piano here, and practicing daily as I did promise you on those happy days we spent in Freiburg after the ball before you had to leave for Quatre Bras. I believe I can now play our Allemande á Dieu. Sadly, I could not both play and be in your arms, and the latter I yearn for with my whole heart.~ * Morgan smiles slightly again continuing (HH) Be safe and well, I will think of you and pray for you each day. (HH) Yours, always. Molly. (HH) ~P.s. My Father has spoken with Sebastian's, and intimated that alternative arrangements would need to be made for the future rather than a union between he and I~ * Morgan nods slightly * HH in the falsetto "My most beautiful flower from heaven, do you like me, tick yes or no" (Morgan) you, no... (HH) ~P.p.s. **Theres a little drawing of leaves and berries** As it is Prophet's Mass, here is a little mistletoe. I have pressed a kiss beneath it for you, just here *there is a cross an inch below the drawing* (HH) **that is the end of the letter** * Morgan smiles, tucking it away (HH) But her? (Morgan) aye (HH) **HH nods** Love's young dream… If only there wasn't thousands o' Vaticine troops and Theus knows 'ow many years in th' way. Maybe then she can be your ShadowFayre queen. Did I tell y' I was Shadow King a couple o' years ago? (Morgan) That would require me listening to you (HH) *he nods* 'Cos you're ignor'nt. Do y' know Otto and Sascha? He's a labourer, she's a seamstress, live on the posh side of the village, not over my side? Doubt y' do ((he doesn't)), but they 'av a daughter called Dietlinde, she was th' queen. * Morgan nods (Morgan) keen on her are ya? * HH shrugs (HH) Dunno yet. Not seen much o' 'er. Pretty though, easy t' like. She's just got a stillness to her, like a calmin' aura. * Morgan nods (HH) Y' nappin' again? You're on middle again tonight, right? * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye (HH) *Morgan leans back in his hammock, searching in his mind for Molly's face and a sweet dream of her. HH says "catch!" and chucks the monkey fist at him. As he reaches out of the hammock to try and catch it, he over-balances and falls. With a jolt, he awakens in the bed. Molly is sleeping on his chest and jumps in response. (HH) It's alright liebling, I'm here… ** You're now known as Molly * Morgan draws a deep breath (Morgan) it'd be entirely unfair to beat HeinzHarold for something he did in a dream, right? * Molly nods (Molly) Entirely. What did he do? (Morgan) Threw something to me, caused me to fall outta my hammock (Morgan) woke me up * Molly laughs (Molly) Not a nightmare? * Morgan shakes his head (Molly) Good (Molly) **its about an hour before dawn, so half past six or so. Molly snuggles back against his chest with a contented sigh. (Morgan) no... sort of a carryin' on from that dream at th' ball (Molly) Mmhmm *she gently runs her fingers through the hair on his chest* would you like to tell me? (Morgan) jus' a letter you wrote me... missin' me, o'viously (Molly) Oh, of course. From the ball, it does sound like I was likely to miss you a great deal * Morgan nods (Morgan) mmmmhmmmmm * Molly continues the gentle touching (Molly) How was Heinzharold involved? (Morgan) On ship t'gether (Molly) Pleasant memories? * Molly presses firmer, onto the skin beneath the hair (Morgan) not mem'ries... dream * Molly nods (Molly) Mine was just silly, I think it may amuse you. (Morgan) mmm? (Molly) First I was cooking in the farmhouse and trying to make a Hilda pie. But as soon as it was out of the oven, she popped through the pastry squawking. So I put her in a stew instead. (Morgan) damn chicken (Molly) *she giggles* And then I tried to make a cake but it just wouldn't rise, and you arrived. I made peaches with cream on top. You looked at it and said "Do I like peaches and cream, blossom?" I said "I have no idea, perhaps you should try it". That's when you woke me. (Morgan) rude * Molly nods giggling (Molly) But I didn't know it was a euphemism in the dream, it was just food * Morgan nods slightly before yawning and stretching * Molly moves away a little (Molly) Sorry (Morgan) No no, its just occurred to me I'm talking like HeinzHarold and was still half asleep (Molly) You weren't calling me lil dorlin', so it's fine * Molly smiles, returning to what she was doing (Morgan) So... we're going to setup base here and use the ketch? (Molly) If you wish to. You have three crewmen who have all captained a Ketch on similar waters, and you would need ten crew for it ideally * Morgan nods (Morgan) its certainly an idea * Molly nods, lightly tickling him there despite knowing only the back of his neck is ticklish (Molly) Then it is just to decide whether to stay on The Rose or one of the houses * Morgan nods (Molly) Were you thinking of going to Tawstock today? (Morgan) later, aye * Molly nods (Molly) I do not mind that (Molly) Are you taking your middle watch tonight? (Morgan) I should (Molly) You do not wish to? (Morgan) Lots to do (Molly) Not between midnight and four though... (Morgan) true (Molly) There's very little can be done then (Morgan) I suppose so * Molly hugs closer to him a moment (Molly) I think it's time to get up * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye * Molly doesn't move just yet (Molly) Another day though * Morgan looks confused (Molly) We can stay a little on bed until closer to dawn (Molly) In* * Morgan nods * Molly kisses her chest before letting go (Molly) It is nice to wake up with neither of us having had a nightmare * Morgan nods (Morgan) indeed * Molly sits up in bed (Molly) Its a rarity * Morgan nods (Morgan) I'm not complaining (Molly) **It doesn't take him long to get dressed and ready for his regular habit. She's already getting dressed herself when he's ready to go (Molly) Shall we go when you are done? * Morgan nods * Molly starts pinning her hair "I'll come soon then" (Morgan) aye aye * Morgan heads out to find somewhere to watch the horizon (Molly) **He sees both Claudia and Heinzharold in the usual spot in the rigging despite the rain which drips from the brim of their hats (Molly) HH: even the raindrops have turned out to see his majesty's morning glory ** You're now known as Claudia (Claudia) *she grimaces* Ugh, I'd throw up my breakfast at that, if it wasn't so early (Morgan) I suppose you're hoping to hear of a nightmare? * Claudia and HH both nod (Morgan) Sorry. (Claudia) HH: its like a bedtime story, but th' wrong way up * Claudia fishes out a spare hat from her pocket. It looks old and battered but still useful. She chucks it to Morgan (Claudia) Going up the cliff? * Morgan puts the hat on, nodding (Claudia) Want company? * Morgan nods (Morgan) aye * Claudia jumps down. HH gives a fake wounded look (Claudia) I see, 'e's always been the fav'rit (Claudia) HH * (Morgan) of course I am (Claudia) He talks less (Morgan) And when I do talk its much more interesting (Claudia) HH: *he nods* 'e's taciturn, tha's why (Morgan) Not wrong * Claudia trudges off onto the sand, the rain steady * Morgan follows her (Claudia) You ever think of just taking the morning off? (Morgan) morning... off... no. (Claudia) **The heavy clouds make it darker, and picking their way up the path takes focus, so she's quiet til they're up in the same part of the garden he was in yesterday (Claudia) No nightmare then? * Morgan shakes his head (Morgan) not at all (Claudia) And Molly? (Morgan) same * Claudia nods (Claudia) You two doing okay after all that yesterday? (Claudia) **they get in the right spot, the clouds lightening in degrees * Morgan nods (Morgan) I've apologised and explained why I was annoyed (Claudia) Well done. Not many men can do that (Morgan) Bit of humility couldn't hurt some more people (Claudia) That a hint? * Morgan frowns (Morgan) no * Claudia nods (Claudia) Heinzharold and Inga have patched up whatever she was irritated with him about too * Morgan glances at her (Claudia) What? (Morgan) I'm surprised you didn't know what it was, thats all (Claudia) What do you mean? (Morgan) Just that you're normally good at picking up information, just a bit surprised (Claudia) You lot with your complicated romantic quarrels... it's not something I poke around in. If you want to have my ear or advice, you'll tell me given the opportunity * Morgan nods (Claudia) So what was their issue? (Morgan) He was amorous and was singing her that song about peaches and cream.... then explaining how it wasn't about peaches and cream really... then he fell asleep. Apparently she hates being woken up. * Claudia laughs (Claudia) Smooth (Claudia) Not heard that in years though, not since the War * Morgan nods (Morgan) Cant say I had (Claudia) Surprised you even understood it (Morgan) why? (Claudia) Prudish noble types * Morgan snorts (Morgan) trying to explain to Molly why I kept on at HeinzHarold about it was... difficult... (Claudia) You tried just being brutally honest? (Morgan) Oh she understood it... but being Avalon, they're rather practical... she couldn't see _why_ (Claudia) Depends on your view on it. I find it generally disrespectful as hell, but my judgment might be biased * Morgan nods (Morgan) I couldn't think of an actually practical reason for it... * Claudia shrugs (Claudia) No pregnancy... no evidence. (Morgan) huh.... duly noted * Claudia nods (Claudia) Sounds like Heinzharold could tell her why *she smirks* (Morgan) It does rather (Claudia) The two of you could probably work it out (Morgan) probably (Claudia) Not you and Heinzharold, obviously * Claudia grimaces (Morgan) well, no... (Claudia) **the sun is probably above the horizon, though the cloud obscures it (Claudia) What's on today's itinerary then? (Morgan) Not sure... probably time to visit Tawstock * Claudia nods (Claudia) Molly said she probably knows a contact of Forrester's who can come and assess the state of your rock * Morgan nods (Morgan) HeinzHarold is going to have to help shear the sheep * Claudia laughs (Claudia) Oh that will be funny (Morgan) thought you'd like that (Claudia) You going to watch? (Morgan) Might be busy * Claudia nods (Claudia) Done up here or do you wanna spar? (Morgan) thought you'd never ask * Claudia snorts (Claudia) Come on then (Claudia) **they spend twenty minutes on this. The garden in muddy and a bit slippery, and they're both soaked and dirty by the time they get back on the ship. HH has gone, the watch swapped but the rain remains (Claudia) Gonna rain all day (Morgan) its Avalon... (Claudia) I'm going to get dried. I'll be in my cabin if I'm needed * Morgan nods, heading to go and find Molly (Claudia) **he finds Molly having breakfast in the study with Varick, HH and Inga. They're all relaxed and happy. Theres a backpack just behind the door ** You're now known as Molly * Molly smiles warmly as she sees him over the rim of her coffee, raising an eyebrow at the muddy hems of his trousers (Molly) Have you been on an adventure, my love? (Morgan) just practice (Molly) **Varick comes to hug him* (Molly) Coffee, food? * Morgan nods, hugging the boy * Molly kisses his cheek, bringing him a cup, she looks very cheerful (Molly) V: are you here to play? (Morgan) I think I'm a bit wet for that (Molly) **HH sniggers quietly* * Molly bites her lip * Morgan glances at him (Morgan) We've got a lot to do today (Molly) If it is still raining, is it worth redressing? It's probably going to stay this way (Molly) V: Okay. Are you doing crafts? (Morgan) HeinzHarold is going to shear the sheep... (Molly) HH: *he groans* I thought y' were gettin' someone fr'm o'erthere *he nods his head in the direction of the mainland* (Morgan) Thats the plan, but it needs doing sooner (Molly) V: I could help, I have scissors * Molly giggles "Ummm... that doesn't work well..." she glances at Morgan, blushing (Morgan) Sounds like someone knows from experience (Molly) Yes... I was very young... **she blinks a moment** Anyway, no, it didn't go well, and my favourite ewe was very patchy. My Father was most cross. * Morgan nods (Morgan) I would imagine so (Molly) **Varick and Inga laugh. HH stands up, stretching out his shoulders** Shearin' the hairy beasts, in the rain... what did I do to you, eh? * Molly takes Morgan's free hand a moment, but says nothing * Morgan shrugs (Morgan) Nothing.. not today little rabbit (Molly) **HH darts a glance at Inga who is laughing. Molly blushes, giggling* (Molly) HH: I'd better get going, before I get sheepish *he grins. Varick loves this pun and is laughing* * Morgan nods to him (Morgan) have fun won't you * Molly smiles, squeezing Morgan's hand "won't _ewe_?" **Varick's laughing gets louder, and the grown ups are all laughing too* * Morgan smiles slightly (Molly) **HH goes to the door** I'll be baaaaaa-ck later! * Molly and the others find this hysterically funny (Molly) **Farewells are said and soon Molly, Morgan and Claudia are loaded up ready for the trip to the house ((what's he carrying?)) (Morgan) ((in terms of?)) (Molly) ((Weapons)) (Morgan) ((Falchion, axe, straight sword, four daggers, two pistols)) (Molly) ((Okay so prepared for trouble?)) (Morgan) ((as usual)) (Molly) **They go across the shingle in the rain. Molly shuts the boat house door behind them, and turns to him. For a moment, he gets deja vu from his dream where she was Horatio Black's wife but his secret lover** (Molly) **Claudia takes one of the lanterns, heading to the tunnel entrance** * Morgan picks up another lantern, walking into the tunnel (Molly) **They pass the Ketch, which is apparently named Agatha's Abundance, and walk through the dark tunnels. It is much easier now he knows where to go. They get to the crates, having passed no cold spots. * Molly looks around (Molly) What _is_ all this? (Morgan) Scotch and Brandy so far (Molly) Where did it come from? * Morgan shrugs * Molly shrugs too "Probably smuggling. Folks here in Balig do it all the time to avoid paying taxes to the nobles and the crown" she is utterly nonchalant about this * Morgan nods * Molly glances at him (Molly) And yes, from Lady Torrington too (Morgan) I know * Molly smiles, surprised (Molly) You do? (Morgan) I'm hardly blind * Molly giggles (Molly) You think I'm pretty, so you might be partly... * Morgan rolls his eyes (Morgan) dont be daft (Molly) C: If you two are going to get soppy, I'm going on ahead! * Molly smiles, sticking her tongue out at him (Molly) No, we're good * Morgan nods (Molly) **Suddenly they come upon the machine. Molly stops still looking at it. There's still no cold spot. Claudia seems to be giving it a wide berth (Molly) This is rather strange... is it much like the other one? (Morgan) similar (Molly) But we have no idea what it does... (Morgan) No... * Molly nods, watching it warily a moment (Molly) Alright, shall we keep going? * Morgan nods (Molly) **They exit the tunnels into the rain at garden with the lemongrass and lavender. Molly takes a quick look around, nodding with satisfaction. (Molly) Someone had an interest in herbalism. (Morgan) I'll take your word for it * Molly smiles. When they get to the house it is just as they left it (Molly) What were you thinking, liebling? (Morgan) I'm not entirely sure... I was hoping they could at least give us an idea how to help them... (Molly) **Claudia looks around the downstairs quickly* (Molly) Where do you think might be easiest? (Morgan) He was upstairs yesterday * Molly nods (Molly) Alright, the same place again? * Morgan nods (Molly) **Claudia comes back* Nothing to report, now what? (Morgan) head upstairs, see if they're there (Molly) **They get upstairs, Molly having been interested in the decor on the way up, and go into the master bedroom. Molly looks up at the large painting with a slight frown* (Molly) **Claudia takes the brush from the fireplace and brushes the smashed pottery to the edge. It's a fairly large room with hard floors. It's also a little cold. (Molly) This is Charlotte? (Morgan) I believe so * Molly nods. She starts to unpack her bag onto the bed. Paper, pencils, coloured pencils, eight cotton reels, a handful of corn, three feathers, string, a small bell, a ball, and a map of the Island all come out of it (Molly) **Claudia glances at this before looking at Morgan $what the fuck?$ (Morgan) $What?$ (Molly) $what is with all the weird bits?$ (Morgan) $Ways to get answers. Easier than yes and no answers$ (Molly) C: what you want me to do now? (Morgan) Have a wander round, keep an eye out for trouble (Molly) C: *she nods, leaving* * Molly looks at Morgan (Molly) Are you happy for me to set it up? (Morgan) by all means (Molly) I asked Varick for help with it and he asked Mae, so I think it should be fine * Morgan nods (Morgan) excellent * Molly spends ten minutes doing so. One piece of paper has the alphabet and an empty cotton reel in a blank space in the middle. She does the same with the numbers one through twenty. On another sheet, she writes Yes, No, Maybe, Dont know, then realises it all in Eisen, not Avalonian. She gives him a sheepish smile (Molly) Oh dear * Morgan chuckles (Morgan) best spend a couple of minutes fixing that (Molly) **she flips it over and writes them in Avalonian. Each has a different colour cotton reel on it, so it would be a clear answer even if the movement was minor. It says Yes, No, Maybe, Don't know, Question too complicated, Don't want to answer that, and word space. * Molly last adds the map, and beside it a handful of dried corn. She looks it over, smiling (Molly) What thinks you? (Morgan) I think you've put some serious thought into this * Molly smiles (Molly) It was a team effort * Morgan nods * Molly sits on the floor, looking up at him (Molly) All yours, liebling (Morgan) I've not really got any idea what to ask * Molly thinks (Molly) Who the other ghost is? About the skeleton? What the machine is? About the fair folk? How to help them rest? * Morgan nods (Morgan) alright then... * Molly smiles encouragingly * Molly doesn't say anything (Morgan) Are you here? (Molly) YES (Morgan) The first of you I spoke to... who are you? (Molly) O(space)FLANNIGAN * Molly looks at Morgan, surprised (Molly) Oh! (Morgan) Now that I didn't expect. * Molly shakes her head "nor I: (Morgan) Is Charlotte here? (Molly) YES (Morgan) What is the machine? (Molly) PROTECTION (Morgan) From? (Molly) FAE * Molly winces * Morgan glances at her (Morgan) Does it stop them coming here? (Molly) YES (Morgan) I think we'll leave that alone then... (Molly) YES YES YES (Morgan) Will it continue to work if the two of you are at rest? (Molly) YES * Molly smiles at Morgan, looking relieved by this (Morgan) Can it be duplicated? (Molly) DON'T KNOW * Morgan nods (Morgan) alright... how do we help you pass ove (Molly) QUESTION TOO COMPLICATED * Molly looks at Morgan, puzzled (Molly) What do you think that means? (Morgan) I don't know (Molly) Do we know from yesterday that we can? (Morgan) Do you need help to rest? (Molly) YES (Morgan) But its too complicated to tell us how to help (Molly) NO (Molly) TWO OF US (Morgan) Yes, I know... is it different ways for each of you? (Molly) YES * Molly gets a sheet of paper and starts making notes (Molly) One at a time, liebling? (Morgan) Alright... can you tell me how to help Charlotte rest? (Molly) PROTECT MACHINE EXHUME BURY WITH PARENTS * Molly inhales deeply, writing it down (Morgan) Where is her body? (Molly) UNDER THE CIRCLE * Molly blinks rapidly (Morgan) Its not a Sidhe marker, is it? (Molly) YES (Morgan) So she's under the circle... (Molly) YES (Morgan) Where does she need to be buried? (Molly) ((It is sidhe marker, not sure if I made it clear)) (Molly) **one of the dried corn moves to St Helen's church** * Molly notes this (Morgan) Are both parents there? (Molly) NO (Morgan) The body by her grave is her father? (Molly) YES (Morgan) Where is there a Sidhe marker where she's buried? (Molly) BARGAIN * Molly 's eyes widen (Morgan) is there a record of this bargain? (Molly) NO (Morgan) Can you tell me what the bargain was (Molly) ISLANDERS FAE PROSPERITY SACRIFICE (Molly) Oh my God. * Molly looks at Morgan solemnly (Molly) **in the serious quiet of this horrific revelation, theres a sudden knock at the door (Morgan) come (Molly) C: *she sticks her head round the door* All quiet, thought you'd want to know * Morgan nods (Morgan) thank you (Molly) **she goes again* (Molly) That scared me! * Morgan nods (Morgan) Just a bit * Molly makes a big exhale (Molly) Alright, where were we? (Morgan) sacrifice of islanders (Molly) NO (Morgan) no? (Molly) CHARLOTTE (Morgan) He sacrificed her? (Molly) ISLANDERS (Morgan) The islanders sacrificed her (Molly) YES (Morgan) Well thats charming (Molly) NO (Morgan) I was being sarcastic... (Molly) YES (Morgan) How do _you_ get to rest? (Molly) KILL (Morgan) You have to kill someone? (Molly) MONSTERS (Morgan) I thought that had ended when the machine was taken away... the first machine (Molly) OTHER MONSTERS (Morgan) Here? (Molly) **all the dried corn moves to the the woods (Morgan) They're in the woods. (Molly) YES (Morgan) How many? (Molly) DON'T KNOW (Morgan) What are they? (Molly) HUMANANIMALFAE * Molly looks at Morgan (Morgan) a cross of humans, animal and Sidhe? (Molly) YES (Morgan) So, kill them and you can rest (Molly) VATICINE BURIAL (Morgan) I can arrange that... Are these monsters what the machine needs protecting from? (Molly) NO (Morgan) what does it need protecting from? (Molly) YOU (Morgan) Me? (Molly) BURN (Morgan) I just need to leave it alone? (Molly) YES (Morgan) and it'll keep the Sidhe away (Molly) YES. BANISH. BARRIER (Morgan) The monsters can be here because they're part not Sidhe? (Molly) STUCK. IN NOT OUT. STUCK * Morgan nods (Morgan) alright (Molly) NEED BLOOD (Morgan) They need blood? (Molly) HUMAN (Morgan) They need human blood? (Molly) YES (Morgan) We'll try to avoid that then (Molly) GOT * Morgan frowns, looking at Molly (Morgan) I dont understand * Molly frowns too (Molly) They have already had enough human blood? (Molly) NO (Molly) HAVE HUMAN (Morgan) Who do they have? (Molly) DON'T KNOW (Morgan) When did they get them? (Molly) 2 YEARS (Morgan) They're still alive? (Molly) YES (Morgan) When are they most active? (Molly) DARK * Morgan nods (Morgan) alright (Morgan) Where are you remains, so we can give you a burial? (Molly) LAIR (Morgan) Of course they are.... * Molly nods (Molly) FAST STRONG HIDE (Morgan) They're fast and strong and good at hiding? (Molly) **the corn moves. One piece is left right near the ring (Molly) YES * Molly gently moves the corn, placing a cross on the map in the exact spot (Morgan) Alright... does Charlotte need any particular service? (Molly) NO * Morgan nods (Morgan) I'll get it done as soon as I can (Molly) BE CAREFUL * Molly smiles a little * Morgan nods (Molly) MONEY (Morgan) Money? (Molly) SERVANTS DINING (Morgan) There's money in the servants dining room? (Molly) FLOORBOARDS UNDER TABLE * Molly reviews her notes (Molly) The islanders had a bargain with the sidhe? YES They got prosperity in return for sacrificing Charlotte? YES Her Father hung himself? YES (Molly) Was he part of the bargain? NO (Molly) Where did the islanders go? BANISHED BY HIM * Molly nods (Molly) When the monsters are dead, will more come? NO CANT. BARRIER (Molly) Can they leave the woods? DON'T KNOW (Morgan) Alright, so we put the Rose out to sea... don't want them getting to her... * Molly nods "that's wise" (Molly) BLACK. ANTLERS. RED EYES. BEAR CLAWS. HUMAN SHAPE. FUR. * Molly wrinkles her nose "Delightful(!)" * Morgan nods (Molly) DANGEROUS (Molly) If we turned off the machine, then turned it back on, would they go out again? (Molly) NO NO NO NO NO NO * Molly looks at Morgan "Not that one then" (Morgan) No... (Molly) FAE WOULD COME (Morgan) Less than ideal * Molly nods (Molly) Is there anything else you want to tell us? (Molly) THANK YOU MISTER KOERTIG * Molly smiles, knowing that O'Flannigan saying his name here before got him screamed at * Morgan nods (Morgan) I'll do my best to get you both to rest (Molly) YES (Molly) Anything else, liebling? * Morgan shakes his head (Morgan) No, I don't think so (Molly) Alright. Thank you both, we'll let you recover (Molly) **the room goes back to a normal temperature. Molly tidied the things away quietly (Molly) I think we need some fresh air... * Morgan nods (Morgan) agreed * Molly hands him three cups and a flask so they go back in on the top (Molly) If it is still raining, in the music room with the doors open? * Morgan nods (Morgan) sounds good (Molly) **That's what they do. He, Molly and Claudia sit by the open doors as the rain thunders down. Molly puts the flask on the floor along with the cups (Molly) C: *she looks at Morgan* Give me a quick briefing (Morgan) A lot to go over... * Molly pours what looks to be lukewarm coffee into the cups (Molly) C: start with the worst bit? (Morgan) There's monsters on the island, part Sidhe, part human, part animal (Molly) **Claudia nods. Where she would have disparaged this a few days ago, she looks quite accepting* Can we kill them? * Morgan nods (Morgan) Got to * Molly nods (Molly) **Claudia nods** Easily? (Morgan) Not if what we're told is anything to go by ** You're now known as Claudia (Claudia) How many? (Morgan) Don't know (Claudia) Weaknesses? * Morgan shrugs (Claudia) What happens if we leave them? * Claudia is straight-faced, then grins (Claudia) Not that we would (Claudia) **Molly sips her coffee, making a face (Morgan) They've got someone, apparently (Claudia) Rescue mission then? (Morgan) Looks dangerously like it (Claudia) Rescue the innocent, destroy the bad guys, retake the land... Just another day in the life of an Eisen man, or woman. * Morgan nods (Morgan) apart from the monsters (Claudia) **Molly smiles** It's really not that different to what we normally have going on (Claudia) This is the sort of crap you've been doing while you were AWOL then? * Claudia drinks the coffee grudgingly * Morgan nods, sipping his coffee before frowning at it (Claudia) C: anything else? (Morgan) Need to have the machine alone... exhume a body and rebury it (Claudia) That should be easy (Morgan) Maybe... (Claudia) **Molly sets her cup down, pushing it away slightly (Morgan) too cold? (Claudia) Gonna need a lot of us? (Claudia) **Molly nods** I'm spoilt * Morgan looks at the coffee a moment (Morgan) I don't know... I don't want you at risk (Claudia) You are good, but you can't take on monsters alone * Morgan shrugs * Claudia giggles "it wouldn't be the first, second or fifth time..." (Claudia) Molly* (Claudia) **Molly picks up her cup, sipping the coffee* perfect thank you * Morgan nods, looking at Claudia * Claudia frowns (Claudia) Did you just...? (Morgan) Can't abide cold coffee (Claudia) You can't even tell just from watching... that's... (Claudia) **He suddenly feels a wave of protectiveness from Molly** (Morgan) unnatural... (Claudia) That's impressive. *she slides her cup towards him* (Claudia) **Molly smiles, sipping hers again* * Morgan smiles slightly before sliding it back * Claudia sticks her finger in it "Yep, that's hot" * Claudia sips the coffee whilst Molly watches the rain. A couple of quiet minutes passes (Claudia) You got a plan? (Morgan) Well, until I found out about the person, I was thinking of setting them on fire... (Claudia) **Molly smiles ** They cant hide in the forest if the forest is gone? * Morgan nods (Morgan) On the downside... they'll be everywhere else (Claudia) Yeah. Captive needs to come out alive? (Morgan) ideally (Claudia) How many men are we taking? (Morgan) men? (Claudia) To fight the monsters whose number we dont know (Morgan) I don't know. (Claudia) Me, you, Molly (Claudia) We need more than that (Morgan) I'll think about it (Claudia) When were you thinking? (Morgan) I want to get the girl reburied today (Claudia) Is that near the monsters? (Morgan) Its under the circle (Claudia) Alright. Are you going to tell Heinzharold? (Morgan) I think it best (Claudia) He would go spare if he thinks he missed a battle. He might shi- ... lose bowel control if he sees monsters mind you * Morgan nods (Morgan) which is why he needs to know all about it first * Claudia nods (Claudia) Sorgi? (Morgan) Maybe... (Claudia) **Molly sips her coffee, smirking slightly* What a dreadful time to have an Eisen-only crew * Claudia looks like she doesn't get it (Claudia) What does that mean? (Claudia) We're a little bit more accustomed to monsters in Avalon, due to the Sidhe being quite... present. It isn't as much of a shock to us (Claudia) M;* * Claudia nods, sipping her coffee (Claudia) What are we doing next? (Morgan) Trip to Tawstock? * Claudia shrugs (Claudia) If you like (Claudia) **Molly is frowning slightly** (Morgan) blossom? (Claudia) No, it's fine [I am wondering what the urgency to go to Tawstock is...] * Claudia finishes her coffee, standing up (Morgan) [It gives me time to think of how I'm going to explain it all] (Claudia) [You wish me to come with you though?] (Claudia) **Molly starts packing away** (Morgan) [of course] (Morgan) It'll help with Varick not feeling so restless too I think (Claudia) M: That's a nice idea. Are we to take the Ketch? * Morgan nods (Morgan) I want the Rose moved off the dock, as well (Claudia) M: What about the shearing? (Morgan) Still needs doing... (Claudia) **she looks at Morgan* Dont mean to be rude, but you know you can walk _and_ talk at the same time? (Claudia) **Molly smiles slightly, getting up and going to the sideboard * Morgan nods, getting ready to move (Claudia) ((Attention?)) (Morgan) ((Claudia)) * Claudia shuts and bolts the music room doors "Ready?" * Morgan looks to Molly (Claudia) **molly is going up her bag** I'm ready (Claudia) Doing* * Morgan nods (Morgan) lets move (Claudia) **They go back through the house, through the garden, the tunnels, past the barrier machine and contraband, the Ketch and the shingle. They arrive safely but damply back in the study where the hot drinks aren't magic sne Varick sits in Morgan's lap to cuddle him. ** You are now disconnected ------------------------------ Logging started for 192.168.1.82:#7thsea on Monday, 5 July 2021 10:05:34 British Summer Time ------------------------------ ** You have joined #7thsea * Molly , Claudia, Inga and Varick are in the study, Varick is sat on Morgan's lap
