* Molly is in just a corset and shift, in the process of trying to unfasten the busks

A chiming in his pocket causes him to pull out the strange brass pocket watch from Molly's dream, and he realises it's time to wake for dawn
(Molly) Time to wake for dawn. He awakens in the dark room wrapped around her from behind, morning hardness pressed to the softness of her derriere. She's still asleep.

(Molly) Strange to think how close we came to losing me here, and yet it's as if it never even happened.

(Varick) **A Nieblungen is waiting at the gates, and lets them in. Varick bows politely.

(Varick) **They are escorted over to the tree. Varick is immediately scaling it fearlessly
* @Morgan watches him climb
* Varick gets half way up before looking to Morgan to check he is still there
* @Morgan glances at the Nieblungen
(@Morgan) would it offend you if I climbed it?
(Varick) N: No, you will do what you will do
(@Morgan) Thats as maybe but I would not wish my actions to upset any of you
(Varick) N: No, you should climb it if you want to climb it
* @Morgan nods, looking up at Varick again
* Varick is patiently waiting
* @Morgan pulls himself up into the tree
(Varick) *It is by far the sturdiest tree he has ever climbed. The pretty grey leaves rapidly surround him.
(@Morgan) I wonder how horrified my father would be at me doing this
* Varick laughs, waiting for Morgan to reach him

(@Morgan) Carefully, aye
* Varick does so. Even the thinner branches feel sturdier than they ought. It reminds him of the difficulty he had chopping down the tree whilst waiting for the bad news on Thursday
(Varick) This is fun! It's very high

* Varick works his way to the top, and finds a high but stable branch to sit on

The combination of the height and clear day means they can see a great deal, Faulks house, the lakeside guardhouse and the sudlache north, the city east, the massive expanse of the Mine that borders the schwarzenwald South, and more Schwarzenwald west. It is a stunning mix of colours and terrains, and really sums up all the variety and beauty of Eisen.
(Varick) We should have brought a spyglass

* @Morgan looks to the Nieblungen
(@Morgan) shall we?
(Molly) **two of the Nieblungen lead the way down the slope into the Mine. Molly keeps a hold of Varick just to be safe
* @Morgan follows them
(Molly) **One of the Nieblungen comes along behind Molly and Varick, and the six of them enter the slanting shaft. The smooth grey shimmery walls are as beautiful as he remembers, only an inch above him. The Nieblungen take up torches
* Molly speaks quietly, reverently
(Molly) Oh wow
* @Morgan looks at her
(@Morgan) it is rather, isn't it
* Molly nods vigorously, clearly awed
(Molly) N: You may touch whatever you see
(@Morgan) I dont understand why we're all being allowed in this time
(Molly) N: Because now is the right time
* @Morgan nods, running his hand over the wall
(Molly) **a feeling flows through his hand from the stone, and then back again. It feels right. He feels somehow acknowledged and welcomed, a deep sense of peace.
* Molly watches his expression
* @Morgan smiles faintly, looking calm
* Molly lets Varick do it, though he gives no indication he can feel anything but the rock
(Molly) V: *He looks at Morgan, obviously enjoying himself* 's very smooth

(Molly) N: *He watches Molly a moment before looking at Morgan and Varick with what  might be a smile* You will wish to remove your hands a moment
* Molly encourages Varick to let go, and waits for Morgan to do the same
* @Morgan nods, pulling his hand away, waiting for Varick to do the same
(Molly) N: *They give her a nod once they had moved, and she lays her palm flat to the wall, fingers splayed. The gun metal grey starts to glow blush then pink surrounding her hand, spreading out. She looks very surprised by this
(Molly) **It reminds him of the dream he had where she was lost in the Mine and he found her holding a piece of raw Dracheneisen glowing pink at the centre
* @Morgan watches her
(Molly) V: That is amazing! *He looks at Morgan*
* Molly bows her head a little, eyes closed. The pink glow intensifies, now magenta, before it shrinks back to within her palm
(@Morgan) Now that I was not expecting
(Molly) V: **He looks around as if listening. Morgan can hear that faint whispery noise he knows is the mind of the mines
* Molly removes her hand, looking at her palm a moment before smiling
* @Morgan watches Varick, repeatedly glancing at Molly
(Molly) V: *He is definitely listening intently* Can you hear the singing?
(@Morgan) singing?
* @Morgan looks at the Nieblungen
* Molly looks around the tunnel
(Molly) N: *They look relaxed* we expected that
* @Morgan looks confused
(@Morgan) what is he hearing?
(Molly) N: You already know that
(@Morgan) But he hears it as singing...
(Molly) N: Because _you_ can only hear _human_ speech
(Molly) V: *He seems distracted and isn't paying attention to Morgan or the Nieblungen

* Molly watches them all quietly
(Molly) N: Now, it is time to go

(Molly) V: *He nods, taking Morgan's hand
* Molly is at the front with one of the Nieblungen as they head out into the sunshine once more
(Molly) **There are around a hundred Nieblungen waiting near the cottages by the compound gates

(Molly) N: There are more who live within the Mines

(Molly) **They get led to the exit, where their guides stop. Then collectively they all bow to the three of them

(Molly) **They are let out of the compound. The Nieblungen immediately return to work, leaving them outside just the three of them
