**Molly is let in. Adalbrecht doesn't look too happy, but offers her coffee. She takes a deep breath, suppressing joy and elation at the passionate way Morgan took her in the stable. "I wished to check upon how you are feeling, Father" she says softly. "You are here to change my mind" he responds gruffly. She shakes her head, blowing on the surface "Primarily, I am here because I am worried for you. I cannot begin to imagine the burden you bear". He motions her to a chair, and he likewise sits. "I swore an oath to Theus and my brother. She is my niece, my blood. Asking me to break that oath is asking me to abandon my integrity, my honour, and my faith." She nods sadly, empathising. "It is an awful, unpredictable situation. You are a loving, responsible uncle, and I know you would move Theah itself for your loved ones". He nods, and she continues "But we need you also. Myself, Varick, Edward, but especially Morgan. Can you imagine what seeing and hearing her burn is going to do to him? I cannot bear to lose my husband to the grief that will bring up" Molly starts to cry. He holds her a handkerchief. "Fighting for her to be confined by us in Die Dauerhaftigkeit would spare him that, Molly". She nods a little. "It would also spare Sudlachenburg the glorious future she can have under his leadership. We could never risk being in Eisen again, it would be too dangerous. Besides, his Grace will not let her live, you must surely see that?" He scowls "I see no such thing. Sudlachenburg has great influence. I will oppose it." "Father, before Morgan returned, Sudlachenburgs influence was waning. The Maubourgs were replacing us as the family of preference. Your unity with Morgan, and his good relationship withhis Grace turned it around. Strife in our family could lose us everything." Molly sees this has hit home a little, and presses on. "With your heir happily married, and your spare almost certain to soon be likewise, Sudlachenburg is rising. Our dynasty could be what grows and strengthens Eisen. Morgan… Morgan has so much potential to be the man that drives forth the healing of our nation. He cannot do that if you let Alarice die like Dietlinde did in front of him." He looks uneasy. "Molly, I gave my word." "And you gave your word at Morgan's baptism also." He winces. "I do not wish to harm you, Father. I need you to watch and see what I am fighting for. I ask only three things. Firstly that you put a pin in your plan for a little longer. Secondly, you come to pray with me about it at church tomorrow. And thirdly, you consider that Alarice is going to die no matter what, but that it is within your power to argue for a gentler death, a mercy which satisfies your obligation to help her, as well as protecting your sons and Grafdom." She sips her coffee. He looks resistant. "I do not agree that I cannot save her life" she goes to object, but he stills her "but I will do the first two on your list." She nods, drinking her coffee. "And you will consider the third?" He grits his teeth. "I will consider it". She bows her head. "Thank you, Father. I am sorry you are in this position". "I am sorry you are also. Are you physically well?" She nods "I was very lucky. With both the poison and the stable" She manages to keep a straight face. "And how is Morgan?" She is thrown off guard by this question "He is… he is worried, about Varick and I" he nods in response. She finishes her coffee. "I should go and dress for dinner. Thank you for your time, Father". He bows as he shows her out.
