< 04Molly > Whilst Molly is getting ready, her parents returned, and very shortly they went down to dinner. It was a pleasant evening, but Molly remained sudued, watched by Martha. Afterwards, they return to the rooms. The evening is drawing on. Entering the room, David goes to the table with the decanters of alchol, and Molly goes to light the fire. * @Morgan enters the room carrying his sheathed sword and a bag hanging from his right hand * Molly strikes the tinderbox, creating sparks. There is a far away look in her eyes, and she smiles at her own thoughts. David picks up some glasses < 04Molly > David: Port, or brandy Morgan? < 08@Morgan > port please < 04Molly > David: *he pours a glass of the dark ruby liquid, followed by another. He then looks to Martha, who chooses tea, and Molly who chooses brandy, which illicits a look for suprise from hermother. He hands the drinks out, and Molly stands up from the fireplace. * @Morgan takes the drink and takes a sip before placing it above the fireplace < 04Molly > David: Do we leave for Eisen soon? < 08@Morgan > as soon as an old friend is ready < 04Molly > David: *he takes the chair nearest the fire, Martha sitting opposite him. Looking beteen the two, Molly sits herself on the sofa* You have travelled back and forth many times?* < 08@Morgan > a few, yes * @Morgan sits on the floor and opens the bag, rummaging around inside for a cloth < 04Molly > Martha: *she doesn't take her eyes from Molly, clearly watching for her sadness. Molly however is oblivious, watching Morgan < 04Molly > Martha: Is the journey long? < 08@Morgan > fairly, I'm afraid... in truth I barely notice it, but that is fairly understandable < 04Molly > Martha *nods* You must be keen to see your family once more? < 08@Morgan > aye... < 04Molly > Martha: Will we stay with them? * Molly sips her brandy, inteerested but thoughtful < 08@Morgan > I thought so... though if you wish to stay elsewhere < 04Molly > Martha: *she looks to David a moment* I think that would be best. Are you to wed in their chapel? * Molly gets up, and moves to sit beside him, watching what he is doing. She meets his eyes with an affectionate smile * @Morgan places a small pot on the floor beside him before pausing < 08@Morgan > it has yet to be decided... it may be more pleasing for your and Molly to have it in the village < 04Molly > Martha: Well Moll, what thinks you? * Molly looks to Morgan < 04Molly > I.... I do not know. *she lowers her voice a little* I just wish to be wed * @Morgan unsheathes his sword and lays it across his legs < 04Molly > Martha: *she laughs* You must start thinking of these detailsMoll, a wedding does not organise itself! Will it be a large affai? *she looks to Morgan* < 08@Morgan > there is a chance of that, yes * Molly looks to him < 04Molly > Is that your wish, dear one? * @Morgan looks unsure < 08@Morgan > I suppose it is to be expected < 04Molly > David: *he nods* Part and parcel of nobility? < 08@Morgan > aye * @Morgan runs his hands along the blade, as if renewing an old friendship * Molly watches him, spellbound < 04Molly > Martha: Will your mother wish to help plan the wedding? < 08@Morgan > oh I expect so * @Morgan takes the cloth and dabs it into the pot before running it along the blade < 04Molly > Martha: Is your brother married? *she sips her tea, watching the couple, her husband watching the deep orange flickering from the fireplace* < 08@Morgan > not last time I spoke to him < 04Molly > Martha: Were you not in Eisen just a few months past? * @Morgan nods, turning the sword over < 04Molly > Martha: Your mother has had no experience in organsing such things then? Unless... I am sorry, that was insensitive of me * Molly fidgets awkwardly < 08@Morgan > he may well be married... I do not know < 04Molly > Molly: Mama, I am certain you will be able to plan with Lady Koertig for many hours regarding all manner of details for the day < 04Molly > Martha: *nods* Probably. I trust that you _will_ wed in church,, be it the private chapel or in the village church? *she once more looks to morgan* * @Morgan nods slightly, running the cloth up the blade once more < 04Molly > Martha: And do things run to a similar time pattern in Eisen? The ceremony, the wedding breakfast, a few hours... of rest, then an evening dinner and celebration? * Molly blushes, and tries not to betray her thoughts with a smile < 08@Morgan > more or less, yes < 04Molly > Martha *she nods, and watches Molly, before looking to Morgan* Will your parents not mind us staying in their house? I would not want to be under foot * @Morgan begins to laugh < 04Molly > Martha: *she looks confused* < 08@Morgan > there will be plenty of space for you < 04Molly > Martha *she smiles and nods* I am pleased. We must return at the beginning of august, ready for the harvesting... * @Morgan nods < 04Molly > David: *he looks at his wife with a shake of his head, as if giving her a caution* < 04Molly > Molly: We may or may not be returing then, it is a little too soon to tell. < 04Molly > Martha: *she finishes her tea, and stands* It is getting late. Moll, you should go to bed also, you and I are going to have an important discussion on the morrow * @Morgan glances at the women * Molly looks to Morgan with a slight roll of her eyes < 04Molly > As you wish, Mama. Oh, tomorrow evening Morgan and I are going to meet some friends, and shall not return until very late in the evening < 04Molly > Martha: *she looks suprised* Do not be too late, I doubt the city is very safe after dark * @Morgan smiles slightly, rubbing the excess off of the blade < 04Molly > Molly: I am perfectly safe with Morgan, Mama. He will ensure my phyiscal well-being, I am certain * Molly smiles at him, eyes flashing with mischief < 04Molly > Molly: Won't you, dear one? < 08@Morgan > of course < 04Molly > Martha: *she nods. She goes over to David, and kisses his head gently.* * Molly takes that opportunity to press her hand in to Morgan's, squeezing it slightly < 04Molly > Good night liebes herz < 08@Morgan > gl < 08@Morgan > goodnight blossom * Molly stands, and both women go their seperate ways to bed. Once the doors are shut, David turns to Morgan < 04Molly > David: You'll find that unless she is reined in a little, the wedding will be done exactly Martha's way... < 08@Morgan > I've no doubt she and my mother will get along famously < 04Molly > David: Aye, I hope so... but I would not want to see little Moll getting pushed in to the sort of wedding she doesnt want < 08@Morgan > then I'd say it is up to us to ensure that does not happen < 04Molly > David: What is it you and Moll want? < 08@Morgan > to be together < 04Molly > David: *he smiles* that will be inevitable, once the ceremony is complete *he drnks from his glass* * @Morgan nods, resheathing his sword < 04Molly > David: Are there certain thinngs that must be done to make her your veisgrafin? < 08@Morgan > get married < 04Molly > *he laughs* It was more as to whether their was a crowning or something similar * @Morgan laughs < 08@Morgan > a crowning? < 04Molly > David *he shrugs* You foreign types can be a bit odd *he grins, the first time he's really made a joke around Morgan* < 08@Morgan > you've no idea < 08@Morgan > no, it will be the wedding that gives her the title < 04Molly > I think the details are best left to the womenfolk, they like this wedding stuff *he wrinkles his nose* * @Morgan nods < 04Molly > Far better once it is over and you can start your life together < 08@Morgan > aye < 04Molly > *he looks over* do you play chess? < 08@Morgan > I've been known to < 04Molly > A game then, before we leave Carleon? < 08@Morgan > if you wish < 04Molly > I've always been partial to it, since I was a lad < 08@Morgan > its not often I play... so many things get in the way < 04Molly > work, or pleasure? < 08@Morgan > work unfortunately < 04Molly > Moll has mentioned you are often busy * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I've never known a place with so much strife < 04Molly > *he nods* not a  good place for someone as gentle as she < 08@Morgan > no, definitely < 04Molly > *he nods quietly* it is a shame her brothers could not come < 08@Morgan > aye, I met one before we left < 08@Morgan > a nice lad I thought < 04Molly > *he smiles* that'll be james... a real gem that one... could have done far better than farming, with a decent education < 08@Morgan > aye... made quite a point of telling me what would happen if I were to hurt his sister Session Time: Tue Sep 01 00:00:00 2009 < 04Molly > *he looks suprised* James is usually a pacifist < 08@Morgan > some things are worth fighting for < 04Molly > Peter I would have expected it from < 08@Morgan > aye, James said much the same < 04Molly > I am very proud of them both. Nothing like having a son, best thing in the world. * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I can see why you'd be so proud < 04Molly > *he smiles* I hope you and little Moll have many, many sons < 08@Morgan > aye... someone to pass the lands to... both here and in Eisen < 04Molly > *he shakes his head* Not just that... children are wonderful... and she'll make an amazing mother < 08@Morgan > I've absolutely no doubt of that < 04Molly > *he looks a little guilty* daughters are good as well, of course * @Morgan nods, getting up < 04Molly > *david stays watching the fire, deep in thought* I'll put the fireout when I go to bed... * @Morgan nods < 04Molly > Good night Morgan < 08@Morgan > goodnight David * @Morgan goes to his room
