< 04Molly > **The next day passes quick, and they arrive in Carleon before noon. The city is bustling, as always. Molly watches out of the window, still interested, although calmer now than the first time. She waits to see where he has planned for them to lodge. * @Morgan looks up from his book out of the window < 08@Morgan > I wonder if Holzheim will be around * Molly smiles < 04Molly > perhaps... if not now then soon. I believe he said he can do a trip to Eisen and back in a fortnight < 08@Morgan > aye... he's very skilled < 04Molly > but his ship is not as fast as yours, dear heart * Molly smiles broadly < 08@Morgan > no... it isn't < 04Molly > where are we to stay? < 08@Morgan > I was thinking the same place as last time... your parents are to meet us here, correct? * Molly shakes her head < 04Molly > I promised we would meet them upon the dock... I do not mind that they took some of the luggage, but I would rather not have the chest with my wedding dress in out of my sight. Plus, they may get lost here, if left to their own devices * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I see Session Time: Sat Aug 08 00:00:00 2009 < 04Molly > I should imagine it'll be a few hours yet < 08@Morgan > aye, no doubt * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Perhaps if would be wise to arrange rooms before they can... ummm... < 08@Morgan > before they can... * Molly looks guilty < 04Molly > meddle... * @Morgan laughs < 08@Morgan > I think... whichever ship we voyage on... I shall have a few words with the captain * Molly looks intrigued < 04Molly > Why, dear heart? < 08@Morgan > well... I'd like to make sure they understand I wont tolerate any foolishness towards you or your mother * Molly 's eyes go wide < 04Molly > you think sch a thing likely? < 08@Morgan > sailors can be a rowdy bunch... many find even their light humour to be intimidating or embarrassing * Molly laughs < 04Molly > I think it possible my mother would give as good as she gets! < 08@Morgan > quite possiubly but I think your father would have some sort of episode < 04Molly > Oh yes, quite likely! < 04Molly > Coachmen: Where to, my Lord? * @Morgan gives some directions to the same place they stayed when they were last in the city * Molly watches the city with a smile as the last half a mile passes. They travel thorough the embassy district, with the shops and the doctors office. Her brow furrows briefly as they pass it. < 04Molly > I should like to take my mother shopping whilst we are here... I also wish to see Evie's shop * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > if you wish to < 04Molly > I.... I wondered whether you would accompany me to meet her and Ayden in the Badger and Ferret one evening, though I shall go alone if you do not wish to * Molly looks down at her hands < 08@Morgan > to the badger and ferret? I dont think you will * Molly looks surprised < 04Molly > I have been there before... < 08@Morgan > thats as maybe * Molly looks at the floor < 04Molly > Is it the location or the meeting that troubles you? < 08@Morgan > the location... its been known to be... rough in there < 04Molly > If I can find a more appropriate location, would you consider coming with me? < 08@Morgan > oh I'll go with you to the ferret... but you wont be going alone * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Thank you < 04Molly > **the coach pulls in to the yard, and Molly gathers her handbag and the paper-wrapped mirror * @Morgan climbs out of the coach and helps Molly down * Molly climbs out gracefully, keeping her hand in his slightly longer than necessary before pulling away < 04Molly > coachman: I'll bring in your things, my Lord? < 08@Morgan > thank you * Molly stands close beside him, watching him < 04Molly > Just looking at the place, I feel nervous as I first did here < 08@Morgan > dont, blossom... there's no torment ahead of you now * Molly smiles < 04Molly > I meant more for the possibility of letting you down or drawing attention from my inappropriate behaviour < 08@Morgan > dont fret blossom * Molly nods, waiting for him to lead the way * @Morgan heads into the building, looking for a clerk < 04Molly > ** A different clerk waits behind the desk. There is a bustle of noise, and a young sandy haired lad, the one who was ordered to get the water, carries a large stack of folded sheets whilst being scolded by a burly woman in an apron * @Morgan watches the people carefully for a moment * Molly smiles at the boy, who stops to look at them. He receives a swift clip round the ear from the woman * @Morgan looks at the woman, eyelids drooping slightly < 04Molly > **the woman doesnt notice Morgan, and continues to berate the lad 'bad enough that you bring the sheets through the reception, but also that you stare like an open mouthed carp!' * Molly frowns * @Morgan stumbles forward and bumps into the woman < 04Molly > **the woman immediately curtsies. 'I am so sorry, my Lord, please forgive my clumsiness' * Molly watches, interested * @Morgan speaks quietly to the woman < 08@Morgan > the lad will be our personal room servant while we're here... < 04Molly > **she looks confused. 'he is but a kitchen boy...' < 08@Morgan > and if you argue with me again, you'll be a street urchin < 04Molly > **she curtsies again 'yes, my Lord' * @Morgan stands up straight and returns to Molly * Molly looks to him with a gentle smile < 04Molly > Are you well? < 08@Morgan > fine * Molly nods < 04Molly > shall we make the arrangements? < 08@Morgan > aye, lets * Molly goes towards the clerk, a middle aged man with tortoise shell glassses and a thin crop of brown hair balding on top < 04Molly > clerk: Good afternoon, my Lady, my Lord. What service can we provide today? *he looks to Morgan* < 08@Morgan > rooms... * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Sir, we require three rooms, ideally with a small ante-chamber that joins them. I have heard that some of the Taverns in the embassy district have them, but as we were previously patrons here, and found the service so good, we thought we ought to enquire here first... < 04Molly > Clerk: We have one such suite, it was vacated this morning. Shall I have a porter show it to you? * Molly agrees, and they are shown the rooms. There is a parlour room in the middle, and a room to the left, directly in front, and one to the right, each lockable. The porter gives them the keys, and the luggage is brought up. After ten minues, they are finally left alone. Molly has selected the room on the left as hers < 04Molly > Which room would you prefer dear heart? < 08@Morgan > I suppose for the sake of propriety I should takie the one to the right * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Papa will probably prefer that. He will feel it will prevent us sneaking around in the dark out of his vigilant gaze < 08@Morgan > aye, quite < 04Molly > Though I rather think he might have hoped we would have rooms at opposite ends of the tavern! < 08@Morgan > well... he has little choice in the matter now * Molly smiles innocently < 04Molly > How unfortunate < 08@Morgan > a crying shame, no doubt * Molly looks around the room. It has a pretty fire place, a window out over the city, two sofas and two armchairs, and a large dining table. In the corner is a small bar. < 04Molly > This should do us well until our departure < 08@Morgan > aye, I think so * Molly looks to the clock over the mantle, its gentle ticking the only sound. It reads half past one < 04Molly > I wonder when we shall be alone like this again... < 08@Morgan > most likely not until after the wedding * Molly nods, looking at the clock so her expression is hard to read < 04Molly > About 7 weeks to my best guess < 08@Morgan > something like * Molly stretches < 04Molly > I think I shall change and bathe now, I anticipate their arrive around three o'clock. < 04Molly > ((arrival)) * @Morgan nods < 04Molly > Would you ring the bell pull for the maid, dear one? < 08@Morgan > of course * Molly takes off her cloak, and hangs it on the stand * @Morgan finds the bell pull and rings the bell * Molly goes to her door, and then comes back. She takes his hands, and quickly kisses his cheek. < 04Molly > thank you * @Morgan kisses her cheek, holding her briefly < 08@Morgan > you're welcome * Molly lets go, smiling broadly < 04Molly > I shan't be long * Molly turns and goes in to her room
