When dawn comes, Molly is already downstairs. Gawain is crying loudly, and Molly and Anna are in the kitchen. Molly rocks Gawain, making soothing noises, whilst Anna prepares breakfast. The two women talk quietly, when the screaming breaks for the baby to draw breath. Anna: were you to be leaving early? Molly *she nods, moving Gawain so he is against her, looking over her shoulder. He continues to cry as she sways, patting his back* Aye, I believe Morgan will wish to stay for breakfast, but I would guess we shall leave shortly after. My parents shall dock this afternoon, and I wish to arrive and arrange the rooms, before they meddle too much and insist on us being at opposite ends of the Tavern! Anna: *she laughs* Will you visit us again soon? *morgan walks into the room* Good morning ladies Molly: *she nods to Anna, and Gawain stops crying as he sees Morgan. Molly turns with a smile. She has that same very flushed, feverish look she did the previous morning, but seems cheerful* Anna and I were just discussing when we shall be leaving? Anna: *she smiles at Morgan, and continues working on enough breakfast to feed all the guests* Aye... I'm reluctant to leave but needs must Anna: *she nods* A wedding takes lots of planning... and a noble wedding more so I would guess. I am just sorry Maelwys, Gawain and I can not be there As am I. I should have liked maelwys to be my best man but knowing he could not attend I would rather spare him the upset of knowing. Anna: *she smiles* I am sure it'll be beautiful. I shan't tell him if you prefer. Molly: *she laughs softly as Gawain reaches for Morgan, and moves closer with the infant* *he nods* It may be best that way... Though I would like him to know his friendship is that important *he reaches out to Gawain holding his hand gently* Molly: *she smile softly at Morgan and the baby* Anna: 'Tis a shame you are going, Maelwys was in much better humour last night with your presense, a lot more attentive to me, and to Gawain, of course *her cheeks redden* Molly: *unspeaking, she watches the other woman work, expression neutral* He needs someone to unsettle him now and then Molly: *she smiles at this, and looks to Anna* Might I help with the preparations? Anna:*nodding, she wipes her hands* I need to wake 'im, otherwise he'll miss breakfast and your departure. *she goes upstairs* Molly *she hands Gawain to Morgan, and quickly has breakfast ready.Maelwys, rather hungover, returns with Anna, and a bell summons the guests to breakfast. Everyone eats well, and afterwards, the coach is ready. The two couples and the baby stand in the coach yard. Maelwys: 'well,ol' friend, I 'spose this is good-bye' For now old friend. Maelwys: *he pulls Morgan in to a bear-hug, slapping this back. He fights hard against his own sentimentaity. The two women embrace earnestly, Gawain with them* Ye're always welcome here... come back whenever ye wish to I shall just as often as I can. Take care pf them maelwys. Maelwys: *he swallows hard, emotion getting the better of him. his voice becomesmore serious* I will, with every once o' my strength,I promise ye. Molly *she pulls away from Anna, both women with barely heldtears in their eyes, and comes to stand beside Morgan. Maelwys sweeps her up in a hug, and whispers something to her. She nods, speaking softly 'I will not, you have my word' He lets her goas Anna comes to hug Morgan, Gawain pulling his beard* Anna: Fare well... We.ll be back before long anna. I could never stay away too long. *she smiles, and draws away, slipping herself against Maelwys, his bear-like am protectively around her and Gawain. Molly gets up into the coach, and sits ready to face him. She waves through the window* Take care of yourselves. *he climbs into the coach and takes his seat* *Molly waves as the coach draws out, but it is only once out of their sight that the sheer misery of leaving moves across her face. She looks down at her hands, barely containing herself. Hers voice wavers as she speaks* Each time I am here, it grows more painful to leave... Aye.. Well return here blossom *she smiles forlornly* It must be hard for you to leave also Aye. Though it feels better not leaving under a cloud of guilt *at this she smiles broadly* It seems you have the power to be greatly cared for, no matter who you are God alone knows how I managed that *molly goes scarlet at this, looking ashamed* I told you I would fight for you if I had to. *she fiddles with the white gloves she wears, avoiding eye contact* So what did ye say to him little dorlin? *she looks up, blue eyes serious. Her voice is quiet, afraid almost* I... I told him what I needed to to ensure he understood the situation That being? He told me you spoke to him like... A goddamn fool I believe *she sighs softly, watching him a moment intently, before looking out of the window* I told him that you had lost a greatly loved wife and child... I see... *her gaze flicks to him momentarily* I could see from how he was, how he spoke to me alone, that it was only through imagining himself in such a position that he would understand why... *she looks to the floor* *he nods* It needed to be done I suppose. *she looks up to him, trying to feel braver than she does, eyes full of pain* Much as though you may feel I have betrayed you, I would hope you would trust my judgement. It was the only way to salvage your friendship with him. I trust your judgement blossom. If it was needed to salvage our friendship then it was the right course of action. *she keeps her eyes on the coach floor* I am certain it was. His initial reaction was... agressive. That needed to be tempered somehow, before either of you were injured and the only way to do so was to bring his own loved ones to his mind. *he nods * I can only imagine how that went down *she shakes her head* painfully, for us both Oh? *she nods* I am not in the business of hurting or causing pain to others...nor am I easy to betraying confidences, especially this one... *she now studies her hands* You saved the friendship of a man that I value above all others... I hold no discontent with the method *she smiles* I am so very glad to hear it. It was not a step taken lightly or with ease No doubt blossom. *she looks at him with a gentle smile, breifly thoughtful* I wonder that you did not bring your guitar with you... Damn. That guitar is very important to me... I'm very fond of it yet I keep forgetting to take it with me when I leave. *she smiles* They shall know in certainty that you shall return for it. Perhaps accquiring another might be wise? You wish to hear more catterwauling? *she grins* I enjoyed it greatly, and would welcome hearing you sing again also *he nods* We shall see what we can find. Have you always played well? Moderately. There's little else to do when you take to your bunk to await sleep A strange way of living, a life at sea... #she looks thoughtful, then shakes her head slighty# was it strange to be away from home so much then? *he shrugs* It was necessary... *she smiles* do you only sing in public, dear heart? In truth that's the first time I've sung since leaving avebury *she smiles* you have a talent for it Not everyone would agree... Baudy sea songs aren't to everyones taste *she grins* I liked them, even the bits that were a little rude. I'm just glad maelwys doesn't remember all the ones I taught him... *she raises an eyebrow* why, dear one? There's is one that perhaps you would find too coarse *her eyes light up* intriguing, though I believe unless I was to hear it, we would not know! Ah... Perhaps of an evening I will allow you to see the lyrics *she smiles* as you wish, dear one, though unfortunately our evenings are no longer to be ours to do with as we please Oh? My parents were to time their arrival for this afternoon. In their company, we are unlikely to find time alone. Perhaps I could teach it to your father... Make him more at ease with sailors **she smiles broadly* what a wonderful idea! Neither have ever been out of avalon, and the long sail may prove discomfitting. *she looks thoughtful* sometimes I find it strange to think all the things I have done, places I have been, that my parents never would have... Aye... I wonder if they'll get the bug for traveling... Quite possibly, although the running of the farm will always keep them tied to the land. They do not have wealth or income enough to support such. Perhaps while were able we could mind the farm and send them on a journey... *she looks surprised* you would do that for them?
