< 04Molly > ~It is the day Morgan is due back from Londinium, and the night is fast drawing in.The lamp light shines behind the blue chequered curtains in the cottage, where Molly has been all day, ensuring everything is there and in order, all their things moved. A pot of stew is on the stove, keeping warm, having been cooked fully more than an hour ago. < 04Molly > She wears a pretty but simple dress, with her lace apron over the top. She goes in to the parlour, where her mirror is in pride of place over the mantle. she checks her hair and makeup, nervously waiting. < 04Molly > Ah he can not be much longer now... * Molly goes back in to the kitchen, pulling aside the curtain to look into the darkness. ((this would be about the tuesday of this week I guessed)) < 04Molly > ((and done)) * @Morgan walks down from the stables, great coat flowing out behind him as he strides to the door of the cottage * Molly goes to the door and opens it < 04Molly > Welcome back... * @Morgan steps inside, kissing Molly lightly on the cheek before closing the door and taking off his coat and sword belt * Molly takes his coat and hangs it. She smiles at him, the room is no longer sparse, but now cosy, ready < 04Molly > How do you fare? < 08@Morgan > I'm tired. Much as I love that horse, he's never been the smoothest of rides * Molly goes to him, and slips her arms around him. She leans her cheek against his chest, listening < 04Molly > I am pleased you are back... < 08@Morgan > as am I * Molly relaxes her arms, preparing to move away < 04Molly > Stew is almost ready, it will take but a moment to serve. Would you have tea also? < 08@Morgan > please * Molly goes, and makes the tea < 04Molly > I hope you dont not feel this a liberty, but I confess my lonliness dictated that I was to prepare everything in anticipation of our first night here < 08@Morgan > thats fine blossom. In truth I suspect I would be ill equipped to do much by way of preparation < 04Molly > If it pleases you, I thought we might stay here this evening? * Molly keeps her back to him as she preapres the food < 08@Morgan > if you wish to. If all is well in the house. < 04Molly > I believe it is... How was Mr inigo? * Molly brings over two bowls and a plate of bread. She returns for the tea, putiing that on the table also. She sits < 08@Morgan > Fairly well as far as I could tell. We had a long discussion about the events here * Molly looks intrigued < 04Molly > Did he confess? < 08@Morgan > no. He is quite adamant that he did not commit the murder * Molly wrinkles her nose < 04Molly > Well, I believe he is supposedly innocent until proven guilty * @Morgan nods, taking a spoonful of stew < 08@Morgan > Though I've never trusted him... it doesn't quite sit right * Molly eats hers < 04Molly > I believe he did it... but perhaps you know more than I < 08@Morgan > its mostly down to cause... what cause does he have? < 04Molly > Jaeger's consisstant and repetitive flaunting of magic? < 08@Morgan > what proof do we have? Inigo has never shown any distaste at it * Molly looks thoughtful < 04Molly > Yes, I suppose that is true... < 08@Morgan > in fact, the first basis for it of him being vaticine is based entirely on him being Castillian... We have no proof of his faith either * Molly picks up her tea < 04Molly > Yes... but then there aren't that many vat.... *she goes pale* * @Morgan watches her solemnly < 04Molly > I can think of only three I know of... Lady Ashcroft was not present... and Lady Jennabe would have never seen his displays... that only leaves... < 08@Morgan > quite < 04Molly > Oh my... truly, were he never to come to the estate again, I would not be troubled by it.. < 08@Morgan > he would have come regardless < 04Molly > But it is possible he may not come to Tawstock again... I have a feeling he might not find friends or company in this part * Molly smiles ever so slightly < 08@Morgan > Oh, I see. No, I'd be rather happy were he to leave and never return * Molly smiles < 04Molly > At least here I need not see him so oft, for I would prefer he was never invited to ou... to the cottage < 08@Morgan > he will never set foot in our home. * Molly looks at the table with a slight flush < 04Molly > It seems strange to think of it so < 08@Morgan > all changes take time to become normal * Molly nods, eating her stew < 04Molly > It is not a bad change, not at all * @Morgan takes a sip of tea < 04Molly > I have not asked, I wondered what you thought of my mother, dear heart? < 08@Morgan > I thought she was wonderful * Molly smiles < 04Molly > I believe the feeling is mutual < 04Molly > she talked about you almost incessantly the next time I returned < 08@Morgan > oh? * Molly nods, finishing her stew < 04Molly > Lots of awkward questions, yes... She means no harm, it is just in her nature < 08@Morgan > awkward questions? < 04Molly > Where you are from, who your parents are, whether you have a special girl in the village... * Molly laughs * @Morgan laughs < 08@Morgan > and did you tell her that I do indeed have a special girl? * Molly blushes < 04Molly > I.... ummmm... no, I didn't... I was not sure I should * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I think until I've had time to speak to certain people, it may be best * Molly looks puzzled, and drinks her tea < 04Molly > In truth, I believed it was only Lady Siobahn you intended to speak with < 08@Morgan > quite so. Though it may be best to advise Lady Torrington that our moving into the cottage is complete * Molly smiles softly < 04Molly > Evie must be told, though I wonder that it will be easier for her if it comes from me < 08@Morgan > quite possibly < 04Molly > I shall speak with her when she arrives, and hopefully she will not take it too badly * Molly looks to see if he's finished < 08@Morgan > probably best * @Morgan finishes his stew * Molly tidies away the bowls, and advises him that she's done her best with his room, but maybe he ought to go and look. It is neat, practical, with brand new bed linens. All his things are there. When he comes back down stairs, she is taking some fabric from a wooden box in the parlour, and lays it flat on the floor. the fire is unlit < 04Molly > Is it to your satisfaction, dear heart? *she kneels by the fabric, measuring* < 08@Morgan > It is < 04Molly > I have some fabric left from the bolt I bought in Carleon. It is not a huge amont, but you are welcome to it * Molly looks up with a soft smile < 08@Morgan > I think I could make something from that < 04Molly > I am glad to hear it. I have not much more to go before my new dress is ready! * Molly takes a small wooden box and pins the hem. < 08@Morgan > and what style is this dress? * Molly grins < 04Molly > Vodacce... the courtesan style < 08@Morgan > ahh yes < 04Molly > I have an eisen dress, a montaigne dress... it is only natural a vodacce dress must follow < 08@Morgan > quite so < 04Molly > Also, it is expected now that if there is a gathering, I have a new dress * Molly laughs softly * @Morgan smiles < 04Molly > I have a feeling I might be an expensive luxury to you, dear heart! < 08@Morgan > and worth every mark < 04Molly > Oh I would not be so sure! To keep me in dresses will cost a small fortune! < 08@Morgan > if needs must... * Molly folds up the fabric with the pinned hem < 04Molly > I need no dresses, I can manage perfectly well without * Molly goes scarlet < 04Molly > That is not quite what I meant! * @Morgan laughs < 04Molly > Would you like the honour of lighting our first evening fire? * Molly stands and moves out of the way * @Morgan bends down to the fire and begins trying to light it * Molly watches him a moment, before going and kneeling beside him. she speaks distractedly < 04Molly > t'would no longer cause so much scandal < 08@Morgan > what wouldn't? * Molly smiles < 04Molly > It was something you said the day you saved me... that had anyone discovered us there, it would have caused scandal < 08@Morgan > I see < 04Molly > It is just something that stays in my mind... * Molly watches him light the fire. the night is quiet, as is the cottage, the crackling of new flames the only sound * @Morgan shuffles back < 08@Morgan > that should do it * Molly gathers her skirts < 04Molly > I would imagine so * Molly gets up, but it is a little ungraceful from trying to rise from the floor * @Morgan stands up slowly * Molly is standing on the hem of her dress, and nearly falls * @Morgan catches her * Molly laughs softly < 04Molly > Have you ever known anyone as clumsy as I? < 08@Morgan > I knew a man who was easily as clumsy < 04Molly > Really? * Molly remains in his arms < 08@Morgan > oh yes... once managed to impale his own foot with a polearm < 04Molly > Goodness! That is far clumsier than I! < 08@Morgan > considering that the glave in question was on a pole easily taller than I... quite impressive * Molly drops her eyes < 04Molly > I did not realise... I'm sorry, that was rude of me to say < 08@Morgan > dont worry blossom... I think you and I need to be open with eachother. * Molly suddenly looks up, mischief in her eyes < 04Molly > Then you forgive me, dear one? < 08@Morgan > of course * Molly tries to look unsure < 04Molly > I think perhaps I need you to prove it to me... < 08@Morgan > oh? * Molly grins < 04Molly > Finally we have a moment together, undisturbed, without the watching eyes of the servants, and I have waited patiently for your return... * @Morgan leans in and plants a kiss soundly on her lips * Molly holds him tighter, and kisses him back, softly, tenderly * @Morgan draws his arms tighter, placing a hand on the nape of her neck < 04Molly > ~They kiss for a great deal of time, eventually sitting on the rug by the fire. Little is said, and the kisses alternate between hard and intense, and soft and sweet. It is only when the room becomes cooler that they notice that the fire has almost burnt out. Having exinguished it, they go upstairs, parting with a lingering kiss on the landing between their rooms. 'Good night, my dearest one' she says quietly, going in to her room < 08@Morgan > good night blossom < 04Molly > ~the end~ Session Close: Thu Apr 02 03:08:24 2009
