< 04Molly > It is march 10th, a tuesday. The day is dry but overcast, thratening clouds upon the horizon. In the days inbetween, both of them have been so busy they have seen little of each other. Molly has been in the village each day, leaving at day break and not returning to sunset. < 04Molly > In the little time they have seen each other, such as at dinner in lady catherines, she has been happy, chatty and easy company. They havent had further chance to discuss things, though both have been to the cottage seperately to prepare. < 04Molly > The cottage is empty now, but clean. Having decided upon a much needed break from her tutoring, Molly decides that taking a few things to the cottage would do no harm. * Molly takes her trunk that she brought back from Tawstock, with the rug precariously balanced on top. She comes out of the door by the well, and looks up at the sky before continuing on to the cottage. Getting there, she sets the things down and tries to unlock the door * Molly looks puzzled briefly as she inadvertantly locks the door... then she smiles as it dawns upon her that Morgan might also be there. She picks up the things, pushing the door open with her hip, and slips inside * Molly looks around the kitchen, which is small, with a 4 seat table in the middle by a large stove. She smiles fondly, having already come to like the place a great deal < 04Molly > ((done)) * @Morgan sits at the table, eating the last of a piece of bread * Molly smiles at him < 04Molly > Well met, dear heart < 08@Morgan > typical... I take two minutes for a rest and I'm found * Molly laughs softly < 04Molly > You have every right to rest, especially here... * Molly lays down the trunk and rug by the stairs that lead upwards < 08@Morgan > would you like something to eat? < 04Molly > yes, please, if it puts you to no trouble... * @Morgan stands and prepares some more bread and cheese * Molly takes off her cloak, and hangs it on the hook by the door before returning to the table < 04Molly > I hope I am not intruding upon your plans for the day... < 08@Morgan > not at all... I was doing a little bit of work around the house * Molly smiles broadly as she goes to the chair by the stove < 04Molly > I have been here a few times, just to clean * @Morgan places a plate on the table with bread and cheese on it < 08@Morgan > I've spent a fair amount of my time in the yard, whittling wood to make a cabinet * Molly sits, reaching over for a piece of bread, which she breaks a piece off and eats it < 04Molly > That sounds wonderful, is it for a particular purpose? < 08@Morgan > I haven't entirely decided... pots and pans perhaps * Molly nods < 04Molly > I should imagine I shall need a fair few... it has been a while since I did much cooking... in fact perhaps not since that time between lyndwyrms departure and the arrival of Cook. * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I've given some thought to making a chest of drawers but... little steps first * Molly smiles broadly < 04Molly > It is always a wise idea... < 08@Morgan > quite so < 08@Morgan > I've got some shelves prepared that I was going to put up once I finished lunch < 04Molly > Would you like my help... or company during your labours? < 08@Morgan > your company would be gratefully received < 04Molly > then I will stay... I believe the others think I am in the village once more < 08@Morgan > finish your food first... I'm in no particular hurry * Molly continues to eat the bread < 04Molly > I brought some of my things over, I hope that is amenable to you? < 08@Morgan > is there some reason it wouldn't be? < 04Molly > well....no.... but... I thought I ought to ask * Molly looks down at the table < 08@Morgan > unless your decision has changed, this is your home as much as my own... or rather will be * Molly grins < 04Molly > My decision has not, nor ever will, change... I am just a little... uncertain, I suppose... this is all very new, and unexpected < 08@Morgan > that I am glad to hear * Molly smiles < 04Molly > I am unsure what stronger assurance I can truly give you, but I would not have you fear that I might take back my answer * @Morgan finishes his water * Molly takes some cheese < 04Molly > I hope the cleaning has been done well enough, I have not done any since... for a long time < 08@Morgan > its been done just fine blossom < 04Molly > I find I almost fall back in to it... in the same way I have found myself opening doors for the guests, collecting empty glasses... < 08@Morgan > familiar movements... * Molly smiles softly < 04Molly > I think perhaps no matter what I aim to be, or what I gain, I will always revert to what I know when trouble befalls me... it is part of who I am, of my personality < 08@Morgan > sometimes things become so ingrained in our minds that they become second nature to us < 04Molly > Do you think upon your... return to Eisen permanately, that you will find it hard to leave behind the way you must be here? < 08@Morgan > most likely... though I doubt I'll ever tire of bullying those that believe themselves better than others * Molly finishes her cheese < 04Molly > But once there, you will no longer need to tailor your reactions out of the concern for the effect it might have upon Lady Catherine < 08@Morgan > indeed.... can you imagine how unbearable I would be? * Molly smiles, eyes thoughtful < 04Molly > I should hope I shall get to see such with mine own eyes < 08@Morgan > most likely < 04Molly > I doubt I would find you unbearable... *she laughs softly* In truth, even before we were friends, I would not have described you so < 08@Morgan > oh? most would have * Molly smiles cheekily < 04Molly > I am not like most women... < 08@Morgan > that much I had noticed < 04Molly > I think though, that I might never have noticed, had I not ben fortunate enough to have it pointed out to me < 08@Morgan > possilby... you're not the most perceptive girl... * @Morgan winks slowly * Molly pouts, though her eyes are playful < 04Molly > Well, what a truly mean thing to say! It is a good job that I could forgive you almost anything! < 08@Morgan > indeed it is * Molly finishes her cheese, and brushes the crumbs from her dress < 04Molly > I would like to see these shelves you've made, dear heart. I shall take those things up... unless you would not mind if w... if the rug goes in to the parlour ((living room))? < 08@Morgan > no, thats fine * Molly stands up, and smooths down her skirt. She goes and picks up the trunk < 04Molly > I shall put this in my room... I wondered, have you decided which room you would prefer? I have not put anything in either, so that you would have first choice * Molly smiles < 08@Morgan > no, you take your pick... choose whichever room you prefer * Molly looks thoughtful < 04Molly > The front gets more sunlight, but the back is quieter, and looks out over the garden... < 04Molly > I think I shall have the back, if it pleases you < 08@Morgan > thats fine, blossom * Molly nods, and starts to take the trunk up. Though she tries to hide it, it is obviously heavy < 08@Morgan > would you like some help with that? < 04Molly > Please... on flat ground it is manageable, but upstairs, it seems far heavier! * @Morgan smiles, picking up the trunk * Molly smiles back < 04Molly > Sometimes I wonder how nice it would be to have a man's strength... < 08@Morgan > its overated at times < 04Molly > how so, dear heart? < 08@Morgan > it doesn't always take strength to reach your goal... there are other ways this could've been moved < 04Molly > definately... however, I would imagine this to be the quickest method < 08@Morgan > oh, quite so * Molly leads the way up the stairs from the kitchen, and then to the room she has picked. It is dimly lit by the patchy sunshine, and the smaller of the two * @Morgan lugs the trunk up the stairs and into the room < 08@Morgan > where do you want it? < 04Molly > just in the middle will do... I must find the time to sort through what can be useful here that I brought from the other cottage, unless you have things you wished to buy or make instead? < 08@Morgan > well... I like to make use of my hands... it makes me feel like I do some honest work for a change * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Of course... I do not bring much, my curtains, cushions, rug, a few pans... oh and the green and brown bedding that I had from the Rose. I took it to the cottage because it reminds me so much of our time in Carleon < 08@Morgan > bring whatever you wish... < 04Molly > Do you... will you... are you able to bring bedding from the main house? * Molly opens the trunk, and takes out her bedspread, putting it on the bed and straightening the edges < 08@Morgan > I think... I shall probably buy some fresh bed linen and the like * Molly nods < 04Molly > I shall contribute what I can... I shall not have a great deal left is the Colonel accepts the offer.... * Molly bites her lip, eyes downcast < 08@Morgan > no, you will not... * Molly looks unsure < 08@Morgan > most things for the cottage I can make... other things I will buy < 04Molly > If you are certain, dear heart... Though I shall definately receive many payments of food, goods, and services from those I am tutoring. I would not wish to become a burden to you... * Molly takes out her pillows, avoiding eye contact < 08@Morgan > blossom, you are not a burden... the food your receive would be gratefully received here... * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Thank you... it means a great deal to me to know such... I am glad I shall be able to be useful though, for I enjoy the tutoring * Molly puts the pillows on thej bed, and stands back, admiring the room < 08@Morgan > that surprises me little * Molly smiles softly < 04Molly > I believe that so much has been said about me recently, with Lord Jaeger and the Rose that they have all forgotten the horrid things they once accused me of < 08@Morgan > quite possibly... though they would be terribly unwise to utter such now anyway * Molly looks puzzled < 04Molly > how so? < 08@Morgan > you think I would allow anyone to say anything against you without reprisal? * Molly smiles < 04Molly > No, I should imagine it might result in you being a little annoyed < 08@Morgan > somewhat more than a little annoyed * Molly looks around once more < 04Molly > I doubt this will stay quiet for long... * @Morgan shrugs * Molly removes the curtains and cushions from the trunk < 04Molly > I... ummm.... probably ought to inform my parents of such before they hear of it as gossip in the village... < 08@Morgan > if I'm honest, your parents do not rank particularly highly in terms of those that should be told * Molly sighs softly < 04Molly > 'Tis more Evie, Lady Siobahn and the Colonel that hold that priority I fear... Though my mother would be pleased, and it would be nice to tell someone whose reaction I do not worry on < 08@Morgan > I think... perhaps I should talk with Captain Tsaylur... * Molly nods < 04Molly > as you wish... < 08@Morgan > she's not someone I would care to be on the wrong side of * Molly looks to the floor < 04Molly > I doubt it'll be you she resents < 08@Morgan > we'll have to wait and see about that < 04Molly > Thinkest you that perhaps I ought to speak to the Colonel on it alone also? < 08@Morgan > no... its none of his concern * Molly smiles softly < 08@Morgan > though if you're adamant that he should be spoken to about it, I shall do just that < 04Molly > I suppose to speak to him aside on it implies that I believe he holds an interest in me... That it is no longer an option, it might be a kindness not to draw attention to such * Molly laughs softly < 04Molly > I am rarely adamant about anything, dear heart < 08@Morgan > true enough blossom * Molly smiles < 04Molly > I am not sure if that is good or bad... it does mean I often do not push for my desires < 08@Morgan > you should more often I think * Molly smiles cheekily < 04Molly > If I did, it may take even longer to set this cottage in order and ready for... habitation * @Morgan laughs < 04Molly > and much as I would like to be repaid for the race I won, I would not delay you at your tasks and risk your displeasure! < 08@Morgan > indeed... truly the shelves need putting up * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Then let us not tarry here... * Molly carries the curtains and cushions out of the room * @Morgan goes back downstairs and into the garden where two sets of shelves stand made * Molly follows, leaving the curtains and cushions on the table. She comes out into the garden, looking at the shelves. < 04Molly > Where will they go? < 08@Morgan > a set in the kitchen... I was thinking another set in the living room for books * Molly smiles < 04Molly > I think they're wonderful, dear heart * Molly bends down, running her hands over the smoothed surfaces < 08@Morgan > I've not entirely finished smoothing the second one... I was sanding them before I had lunch < 04Molly > I would offer my aid, but something tells me that you would wish to complete the task with your own hands... * Molly stands back up, and stands beside him < 08@Morgan > quite so * Molly nudges him gently with her elbow < 04Molly > not quite so unperceptive, am I? < 08@Morgan > blindingly obvious, if you ask me * Molly grins at him < 04Molly > It is man's work, I believe... In the same way that I wish to hang the curtains myself... * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > its important for your sense of self, I think * Molly looks up at the sky < 04Molly > I have had to leave what I believed would be my home... but I believe here I might have found a far happier one... * Molly blushes < 08@Morgan > I hope so < 04Molly > I have no concerns for my own happiness, I am quite easy to please * Molly smiles softly, and slips her hand in to his < 08@Morgan > as I recall, the simple pleasures are easily come by for you < 04Molly > Riding, reading, gossiping... they are very easy and simple pleasures... < 08@Morgan > indeed < 08@Morgan > though Xantha often makes the former as difficult as possible < 04Molly > I just hope that I am able to make you happy... < 08@Morgan > you already have < 04Molly > how so? < 08@Morgan > by agreeing * Molly squeezes his hand < 04Molly > Did you truly think I might not? < 08@Morgan > I did * Molly lowers her voice < 04Molly > It could be interpreted that I had made the offer many moons ago < 08@Morgan > perhaps... but I was not ready to hear it * Molly nods, eyes serious < 04Molly > I understand... you needed to come to wish for such by yourself... < 08@Morgan > no... I needed to come to allow myself to feel it < 04Molly > I'm not sure... perhaps... I'll understand if you do not wish to, but I wondered, was there a specific moment in which you realised it was your hope? * Molly 's voice is soft, tentative < 08@Morgan > I dont know... my feelings for you have grown since before we went to Carleon... but it was that moment in the monestary when I saw your hand in Kai's... * Molly goes scarlet < 04Molly > Oh how many time I have wished that I had not pained you so... < 08@Morgan > I think perhaps it was necessary to make me realise... < 04Molly > I would not have you hold it against me... I was... I felt so incredibly confused, so overwhelmed < 08@Morgan > I do not hold it against you < 04Molly > I am glad to hear it, dear one... had my emotions not been in disarray over the decision I had to make, and the feelings I had, it would not have come to pass < 08@Morgan > you needn't explain blossom * Molly squeezes his hand once more < 04Molly > I had thought perhaps your decision might have come whilst you were away... < 08@Morgan > to a degree... my journey clarified things for me... gave me what I needed to begin moving on < 04Molly > Please, if you wish to tell me, you have no need to worry for my feelings... regardless of.. everything, I would still like to think myself your confidante < 08@Morgan > perhaps later... once we are settled in blossom * Molly smiles < 04Molly > Had you given any thought as to when you wished for us to begin living here? * Molly 's eyes become thoughtful, and she seems distracted < 08@Morgan > as soon as it is habitable... though I'm happy to move in before I've entirely finished my woodwork < 04Molly > It is clean... there are a few cooking essentials already... Though more furniture would be helpful, I should imagine the two rocking chairs in the living room will do well for a few weeks before there are guests to accomodate * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I think we'll have to have a couple of large armchairs though... nice as rocking chairs can be, there's nothing like being ensconsed in a big soft chair before an open fire * Molly laughs softly < 04Molly > I should imagine it will surprise you litttle to know that in my cottage I often sat on the rug before the fire, rather than in chairs < 08@Morgan > I cant say that surprises me, no < 04Molly > I did fall asleep on the rug in front of the fire one evening... I awoke at some odd time of the night and the fire had gone out.. I was then rather cold.. < 08@Morgan > yes, thats normally how it works < 08@Morgan > 04*Laughs* < 04Molly > I should imagine you could move in as soon as you wish... though you have no bed linen, you could have mine, for I was fairly comfortable on the rug! * Molly laughs < 08@Morgan > 04*Laughs* < 08@Morgan > possibly I could... I may well go into the village today and see what I can find down there < 04Molly > I should imagine there will be something, and even if you only find fabric, your sewing is by far competant enough to mak what you might need < 08@Morgan > true enough < 04Molly > I am completely at your leisure, and can move in whenever you wish it < 08@Morgan > you move in as soon as you wish to... ideally I would have some bed linen by this evening * Molly goes pink < 04Molly > well... I suppose.... there could... It would not... *she sighs slightly, voice quieter* If you can not find any, I would share mine... < 08@Morgan > I dont think either of us are quite ready for that, blossom * Molly looks slightly relieved < 04Molly > I am glad to know that it is not only I who does not wish to rush things... < 08@Morgan > quite so < 04Molly > I am quite content as things are... < 08@Morgan > as am I * Molly leans her cheek against his arm, hand still in his < 04Molly > There need be no hurry for things to progress, if indeed they do, for with a little luck, we have all the time we would wish for < 08@Morgan > indeed. I would not rush into something that would make us uncomfortable or regretful < 04Molly > No... I treasure too greatly what we have to squander it so... though I will not lie and say I am not greatly looking forward to feeling your lips upon mine once more... < 08@Morgan > perhaps once I have put these shelves up... I could have a kiss as a reward * Molly grins < 04Molly > If that is the reward you would wish for, it would be my pleasure... * Molly moves away, picking up the shelf that is already sanded < 04Molly > Of course, if you were to put up one at a time... *her eyes sparkle* < 08@Morgan > certainly a possibility, yes * Molly giggles, holding the shelf. She moves toward the door < 04Molly > Of course, you''ll need to catch me first! * Molly disapears in to the house, laughing *morgan laughs quietly to himself, picking up a hammer and heading inside, towards the kitchen* *Molly stands in the kitchen, grinning. From her stance, it is clear she holds the shelf behind her back* Perhaps not the best hiding place! no, perhaps not. i take it you plan to obstruct my work until... *molly looks intrigued, and as if the possibilty of providing an obstruction hadnt occured* Until what, dear heart? i had asssmed until you got something, but i see from your expression that was not the case. *Molly smiles cheekily as she comes over to him, still holding it behind her back* If you take the shelf, I shall relinquish it willingly. *morgan places his hands on either sideeof her* best be handing it over blossom, otherwise it'll never be on the wall *she wraps one arm around his waist, and brings the shelf around with the other, handing it to him* Of course, dear heart. Whereabouts will you be putting it? I was thinking the wall... though if you require, i could try nailing it to the ceiling *Molly smiles, sqeezing him gently at the waist before moving to the table and picking up the curtains* I always believed you could achieve the impossible... not the impossible... the unlikely i've been known to do. *he goes to the wall, places the shelf against it and marks along the top of it* *Molly leans against the table, watching him* I truly think you could do anything that you determined to do... but then perhaps I am biased. that much is certainly a possibility, yes... *he puts the shelves down and starts hammering nails straight into the wall. after a few strikes, he pulls them back out* i wonder... could i trouble you for a cup of tea? *she grins, obviously playing. She puts water into the tin kettle and hangs it over the stove* Ahhh I see now... This way, you will not have to suffer the inferior tea of the new housekeeper! Very clever, dear heart! *he sighs disconsolately* damn... my plan has been discovered. that reminds me... the person who acquires my ale... he's going to procure some coffee from eisen at the same time. *he glances over his shoulder at her* if i'm to accept and acknowledge who i really am, it should have some perks... i've always hated the coffee here. *Molly smiles softly* That sounds wonderful! Is there doubt though then, that you will publicly acknowledge your true heritage? Or it is more an acknowledgement within yourself I wonder? *she turns back to the stove as the kettle begins to whistle* within myself, i think... though i may well decide not to give my mothers name in the future... i havent entirely decided. *she pours the water into the cups she's prepared* I... ummmm.... noticed you did not use it with the gentleman from the explorer's guild... *morgan makes a face* no... though in truth there was no point... you remember the invitation i received to their recruitment day? it arrived at the estate... with my given name on it, not my mothers. *she stirs the tea, and brings a cup to him, carrying her own* I had suspected so... you seemed very displeased and wary when the invitations were discussed. However, I was unwilling to confirm that by speaking it to you on it, for it would have been forcing your confidence... *she blows softly on her cup to cool the tea down* thank you *he takes a sip of the tea before taking the shelf and driving the two nails into the supports* i suspected at the time of seeing him that he would see through my subterfuge. *she sips her tea, before placing her cup on the table. She takes the gingham cushions, and ties them one by one to the chairs* I think you chose the wisest course. As for what you do now... I would be surprised how many of the guests had truly paid attention to the name you first gave, and therefore may not question such a change... perhaps... i rather imagine most thought me too inconsequential to actually listen. *she comes back to her tea* Quite possibly. Though I suppose I have now done both, inconsequentiality and being much talked of. In truth, I know which made me happier... aye, well... if it weren't for the petty actions of one vacuous noble woman and the gossipmongoring of a certain disgrace to eisen, it would have been a much more pleasant experiencee *Molly smiles* I think perhaps my next foray into the world of nobility will be approached with more caution... what is it they say, 'be careful what you wish for'? i'd say be careful of who you trust, if i'm honest. theres a reason i confide in very few. *she nods, watching his work* It is fully my intention to fade out of the public eye now, to return to being almost part of the house and not draw attention to myself. I do not wish to be part of the noble society I see here. quite... from what i've seen, they are all cowardly, duplicitous and conniving... none of which are noble traits. *Molly holds her cup in both hands* Are the nobles on the court circuit in Eisen better than those I've met here? very much so... those that seem drawn to this place are shallow and vain... noble in name only. *she smiles broadly, pulling out a chair and sitting* Then perhaps I shall enjoy it far better there, for I should imagine it would be part and parcel of my... of what I am to you to be seen at court when you attend or host? quite so. *he takes a sip of his tea before putting the shelf to the wall and nailijg it in place* though functions in sudlachenburg are few and most courtly events in eisen end up with men talking war *Molly wrinkles her nose* nothing would prevent you hosting more social events, if you wished to. what are the ladies expected to do whilst the men hold their counsel? *she grins* If all the gentleman are discussing, there could be no dancing! There isnt a massive amount of dancing done... mostly the noble born lament how much they would have inherited had the war not happened. *Molly sips her tea, and places it on the table. She picks up the curtains, and goes to the window with a chair* With no dancing, and the men melancholy, there could only be one thing for the women to do... gossip! they certainly do a lot of that, that nuxh is true *Molly stands of the chair, hanging the first curtain* With a little luck, I might be more welcomed there than here. i think blossom that you'll be adored. as you would have been here had certain nobles not been offended by your meteoric rise to gentry. *her cheeks redden, and she hangs the second curtain* I...ummm... do you think your mother will like me? i expect so. you're very much like her, i think. *She gets down from the chair, moving it back to the table, and goes to watch his efforts with the shelf* In what way, dear heart? you both have that sweet temperament evident among most avalonian women. *he looks sad briefly* she still misses home, you know. *Molly nods, picking up her cup* I can certainly see how that could happen... Avalon is lovely. *her eyes light up* Would she visit, if you asked? *he looks unsure, raising his cup to his lips* Possibly... Though i'm loathe to expose her to the perils here. *Molly suddenly drops her gaze and nods. after a brief pause, she looks back to him* I wonder, how will your mother react when she knows of... this? Who is to know? I'd say she's likely to be happy that i've stopped treating myself badly long enough to let someone into my life. *Molly nods with a soft smile* I am glad to hear it, for I should not wish for her to dislike me. *her eyes darken* I should imagine I'll be disliked enough by your brother as it is... I'm not so sure. You have title, and even were that not the case, you are my mistress... He can find no fault using his own moral compass *she blushes at the word, though she knows she shouldn't* I would not wish to have to be afraid of his reaction. I wouldn't be. I 5hink he knows well enough what will happen if the thought of interfering comes to him, let alone acting upon it. *she smiles, sipping her tea* Will your father like me? I _do_ seem to somehow get under the skin of Eisen men! *she grins* I should imagine he will... I've no doubt that the similarity I see will not be wasted on him *she watches him a moment over the rim of her cup* How did they meet? Was their marriage arrranged, as so many noble marriages are? As I understand it, it wasn't arranged. I think there was a certain amount of outrage about my father marrying out eisen. *she looks thoughtful* I should imagine that your grandparents were not keen on the next generation not being pure blooded eiseners... my father is very much the same in that respect. I think some see it as a weakening of the positive traits of a nationality. *he shrugs* And look at where those so desirable traits take us. Kai is very close to the stereotype of eisen men. *she stands, and goes over to the shelf, admiring it* Well dear heart, I far prefer you to the Colonel and his attitudes, so I am very pleased that your father followed his heart. I wonder if I might be an easier person were my own traits those of a single upbringing and not a mixture of two. *she smiles* Perhaps... though I would not change you for the world. I like that you are strong, determined, passionate and protectively Eisen... but also that you are intelligent, resilient, practical and affectionately Avalonian. Are you implying, blossom, that eisen men lack intelligence? *he looks at her, clearly amused * *she grins* as a generalisation perhaps yes... in the same way that castillean men are religious, or Avalon women are not passionate... I don't think that to be the case. I think they're just more reserved, hiding their passion *she nudges him with her elbow ((assuming shelf is up as is ben a while since ya last mention it darlin))* Is that speculation, or experience? The former, mostly. *looks at the shelf* I'm not entirely sure that's straight *she tilts her head slightly* Hmmm.... *she takes acoin from her pocket, and stands it end on on the shelf((I'll let you decide if it rolls!!))* *morgan watches the coin sit more or less stationary* Good enough I suppose *she takes the coin and puts it back in her pocket* I think it will do very well.... certainly an achievement worthy of reward. *she smiles playfully* I was thinking much the same thinG *she looks at him intently a moment, before her eyes go wide* I think it best that either I draw the curtains, or we adjourn to the parlour... I would far prefer that those we will need to tell discover it from us, rather than the gossip of the maids, who _do_ watch almost everything all the time! * @Morgan thinks about it for a moment < 08@Morgan > I suppose you're right * Molly smiles softly < 04Molly > May I ask what causes your hesitation, dear heart? < 08@Morgan > I'm loathe to leave a job unfinished... and I was contemplating saying to hell with who may be watching * Molly blushes, smiling a she drops her gaze to the floor < 04Molly > Finish your job, I would not wish to prevent you from doing so... * @Morgan takes up another shelf and begins to repeat the procedure < 08@Morgan > I think I shall have to gather my rewards for mass collection * Molly grins, curling a thick strand of hair around her finger < 04Molly > I can certainly see the appeal in that... I just hope that we can find an appropriate time! * @Morgan fixes the shelf to the wall < 08@Morgan > I should imagine we will * Molly goes nearer < 04Molly > How many does your tally stand at, dear one? < 08@Morgan > two, so far I think < 04Molly > and I would believe I am owed three * Molly smiles cheekily, as this wasnt the figure she gave last time < 08@Morgan > oh? < 04Molly > Well, obviously I shall have to charge interest for each day in which we can not find find a way to solve the problem, won't I? * Molly grins < 08@Morgan > oh I see... taking lessons in economics from our Eisen guests, I take it? * Molly pouts < 04Molly > The difference being that paying me will be a joy, rather than a chore... and if you choose not to pay me, I shall not imprison you or make you my slave for the next half a decade! < 08@Morgan > ahh, payment will be made in a time and place where appropriate attention can be dedicated to it * Molly stands slightly behind him < 04Molly > I promise, I fully intend to hold you to that! * @Morgan nods < 08@Morgan > I rather hoped you might * Molly sighs with mock drama < 04Molly > Oh, dear heart, how shall I wait so long? < 08@Morgan > I'm sure you'll find a way < 04Molly > I shall just hope an appropriate moment comes... *she pauses a call can be heard from the house* < 04Molly > 4 'Master Morgan?' one of the maids calls loudly for him * @Morgan looks sullenly at the last shelf waiting to be put up < 08@Morgan > typical * Molly smiles softly < 04Molly > It will still be here when you return... Your job must come first... * Molly 's eyes are the only thing that give away her deep disappointment * @Morgan nods, rubbing her shoulder gently < 08@Morgan > I will return * Molly puts her hand on his < 04Molly > Do not trouble yourself dear one, with a little luck, we have months... nay, years, if you wish it, to be in each others presence < 08@Morgan > aye blossom * @Morgan turns and heads out toward the main house * Molly watches him go, lost in thought, a variety of both good and bad emotions play across her face
