Molly: Molly stands on the deck of the Rose, looking out over the sea. Just coming into view faintly on the horizon is the northern coast of Eisen, barely visible. She holds on to the rail, watching quietly. Her eyes show her lack of sleep, and her hair blows loosely in the breeze. The afternoon is grey, with the threat of rain. Morgan: *morgan walks up onto the deck, chewing nervously at the side of his thumb. seeing her, he goes over, making some noise as he moves* Molly: *she turns at the footsteps, and upon seeing him, smiles softly with tired eyes. She looks around, seeing no crew* Fare you well, dear heart? Morgan: as well as could be expected. loathe as i am to admit it... i grow restless, nervous Molly: *she watches him* That is understandable. It will be much better for you once you are there and know how the land lies. I believe we shall dock the day after tomorrow, early in the morn. Morgan: *he nods*and how are -you-? you look tired Molly: *she smiles, and then looks out over the waves* I am struggling to rest well. My mind is so busy, all night. And last night, Evie had a rather intense nightmare that I went to comfort her from. Morgan: She is not a child Molly... you should have tried to rest Molly: *she looks at him, voice quiet* I am not a child, yet you came to comfort me when we were in Carleon. It is who I am, and there's nought I can do to change that. I might well not have slept regardless. Morgan: Perhaps... it would not bother me so much if she didnt go into hysterics at the drop of a hat... or if your own welfare was better. Molly:I wonder that she believes that her nightmares will actually come to pass? And do not worry for me, dear heart, I shall retire early this evening in the hopes of catching up... Though with your departure so soon, I am loathe to be out of your presence when I do not need to be *she blushes, and looks away* Morgan: I am poor company just now. Gone is the appearance of confidance i normally carry, for too much weighs on my mind... *he smiles wryly*its one of the reasons that I have avoided the colonel these last few days. Molly: *she nods, eyes sad* I can understand that, dear heart. I wonder that perhaps you might fare better to begin your journey the day we arrive in Freiburg? Morgan: Maybe. i'm really not sure. Molly: I shall need to go in to the city to have the pendant appraised *she fiddles with it*, but if you are to have left by then, I shall ask the Lieutenant to escort me. Morgan: I'm sure i can stand to wait long enough for that. Molly: I promise, I shall not take long... I..ummm... perhaps if you were staying until the afternoon, we could take a little walk in the city? But only if it does not inconvience you... *she smiles* Morgan: if that is what you wish, i shall stay a little longer. Molly: *She smiles shyly* It is my wish, but truly, I would not wish to add to your anxiety. Morgan: *he nods*then that is what shall happen. theres a coffee shop i should like to take you to, anyway Molly: *she bites her lip to cover the grin* I should be pleased to go wherever you wish to take me. Is there something special about this coffee shop? Morgan: I just happen to like it... or rather, did last time i visited it. the coffees rather... richer than that in carleon. Molly: *she smiles, eyes lit up* It sounds wonderful! I doubt anyone will notice my absence for a few hours that day, for the Colonel will be eager to rendevous with the Solemn Wind. Morgan: aye, back where he can flex his muscles, show who's in charge, et cetera et cetera Molly: *molly smiles*And I shall be free to give the orders upon the Rose without being watched over. Morgan:Indeed. he is most tiresome at times. Molly: *she laughs softly, feeling the drizzle begin* It is good in many ways that he is not returning to Lady Catherine's with us, for I think he and I would tire of each other's company rather quickly. Morgan: *he scratches at his chin, looking out over the water*i'm not so sure Molly: *she watches him in profile* Regardless of anything else, we come from different worlds, with different values... It makes it awkward to converse without disagreement. Morgan: It could be argued that you and i are from different worls, yet we get along. Molly: *she smiles softly* But you are... different, special.
