Having taken breakfast seperately, the first sign of Molly's presence rings clear through the door. The day is grey and rain-filled, beating down a heavy tattoo upon the tavern and it's yard. (mtf) A disapointment in the weather can not be heard in her voice, singing strong and true. She can also be heard to be moving about a great deal, her footsteps fast, but the muted sound of barefoot on wooden flooring. She sings the same song as the previous evening, an old tune well known in Avalon... (mtf) Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, Rosemary's green When I am king, dilly, dilly, you shall be queen. Who told you so, dilly, dilly, who told you so? 'Twas my own heart, dilly, dilly, that told me so. * Molly stops suddenly, no noise coming from her room * Morgan sits in a chair, needle working away at a large patch of purple leather * Molly listens at the door, trying to figure out if he is awake * Molly starts singing again, much softer and quieter, starting at the first two lines again. She moves away from the door, the floorboard right behind it creeking loudly * Morgan carries on sewing * Molly walks back, having debated with herself whether to knock or not, she takes a deep breath, and taps gently * Morgan speaks, though his words are slightly muffled < Morgan> come in * Molly enters, her feet indeed bare, though the rest of her is correctly dressed. She speaks quietly I must speak with you, if you can spare me a moment of your time... * Molly looks at the floor by her feet * Morgan looks up, dressmakers pins in his mouth < Morgan> of course. * Molly comes over to him, kneeling about 6 feet from him, she looks at him softly If you wish to rescind your permission for me to behave as your Companion, I will abide by it. I would not hold you to words spoken in haste that you might regret. * Morgan takes out the pins and pierces the fabric of the chairs arm with them. He looks solemnly at Molly < Morgan> Is that your wish? * Molly looks at the floor, blushing My wishes and desires on the matter have not changed, if anything, they are further resolved. But, I will do as you wish me to, as I promised when we left the estate, regardless of my own wants < Morgan> I neither rescind nor regret my statements * Molly looks up at him, her face beaming. It is obvious a great weight has been lifted from her mind I am glad to hear that, for I feared that I might have been too open about my thoughts... < Morgan> Truly I feared I had overstepped my boundaries, perhaps taking advantage of my status * Molly laughs softly Of all the people in the world, you are the last to use your status to your advantage < Morgan> sometimes it is used unawares You have no power over me that is based on your status, neither nobility or as employer... * Morgan chuckles < Morgan> I'm not entirely sure I'm pleased with that That the power you have over me is not based on those premises? * Molly looks at him playfully < Morgan> that I have no power over you as employer * Molly looks ashamed That is not what I meant... I... < Morgan> Just as well, I'd rather dread going back to Tawstock in the knowledge I couldn't boss you around * Molly smiles * Molly moves closer, and speaks quietly You can boss me around when we return, I promise < Morgan> I shall hold you to that * Molly blushes, a little smile on her face You can hold me to anything you wish, if it pleases you * Molly looks away quickly, having not meant it to sound so rude * Morgan blushes and looks back to the leather I.... I didn't... I meant you could hold me to my words... Oh gods in Theah, why does everything I say seem to come out not as intended? < Morgan> dont give it another thought * Molly moves to his side Might I see what you toil over? * Morgan moves the leather around, showing the very rough shape of a bag * Molly looks at him You are a man of many talents, as well as many personalities < Morgan> A neccesity... for the while at least * Molly smiles I am glad to have seen them all, for I would imagine no-one else has < Morgan> indeed < Morgan> Though, only one on this trip is complete frabrication * Molly thinks back hard I might hazard a guess at the one you play in Avebury? * Morgan nods slowly, taking a pin and pushing it through the leather * Molly looks at him intensely, her voice quiet Which is the real Morgan though, for that is the question... here you are different than in the house, not just in how you are with me... (mtf) * Molly 's index and middle finger inadvertantly go to her lower lip, slightly in her mouth, a gesture he saw before when he asked about what she and evie had been discussing. ... but in the way you are with others also < Morgan> I'm expected to act in many ways, in whichever personal people percieve I expect you to act in no way to conform to my perceptions of you... I would like you regardless... < Morgan> Perhaps. * Molly smiles < Morgan> I am much different to how I was before... when I lived in Eisen I would have liked to have known you then * Molly looks away * Molly touches the back of his hand softly, careful not to disturb his work I might like to take a walk, for I need more stretch in my legs than pacing before your door * Molly blushes, not meeting his eyes, nor moving her hand from his < Morgan> Thats fine, allow me to find a place to stop * Molly smiles at him Would you like me to leave you alone to finish it? < Morgan> I shall only be a moment * Molly sits back on her heels. She closes her eyes, her face contented * Molly murmurs Der Moment vor der Dämmerung.... * Morgan looks up momentarily < Morgan> moment before dawn? * Molly opens her eyes Did I say that aloud? < Morgan> indeed * Molly blushes I was thinking... this time we have here... It is like that time before the sun rises, so briefly when time seems to stand still. The night is over, but the day not yet begun, a few brief minutes where you feel in a time without time... * Molly smiles I'm sorry, I ramble. * Molly blushes < Morgan> rather sums up the reason I stand in the rose garden every morning actually I always find it peaceful there, but mostly, when that moment comes, I sit at my window frame, seeing neither sun nor moon, but fading stars, and thinking upon what it is I seek < Morgan> and that is? It is hard to explain... I suppose I seek freedom to act, to be. I seek at least one moment of pure sensation, where I feel, and _am_. * Molly looks down at the floor < Morgan> I *think* I understand * Molly laughs softly I am pleased that at least one of us does. I struggle with the knowledge that my dreams have changed, that I have grown in so many ways, and my old dreams are no longer enough. < Morgan> everything changes, our dreams, our wants... even our fears My fears remain the same as always... well, most of them < Morgan> mine dont Ah yes, but you have faced that fear, and therfore surely can not again? < Morgan> true enough I have not faced mine, and know that I might yet have to < Morgan> that being?* Molly looks at the floor Molly: That I might have the life of someone I care for in my hands, and regardless of the skills I possess, be unable to heal them, too overwhelmed by the responsibility to act effectively Morgan it seems an unlikely thing to me Molly: I hope that is the case, though given previous events, I would not be so sure. * Molly looks at him Molly: Let us not talk of such unhappy things, for it bears no weight here. I shall fetch my cloak, for when you are ready * Molly stands up * Morgan puts the leather to one side and puts the pins away * Molly smiles before turning away Molly: I will be but a moment * Molly goes in to her own room * Molly returns a minute later, blue cloak around herself, gold bag over one shoulder. She is still barefoot, but hasn't noticed * Morgan looks at the floor Morgan forgetting something? * Molly follows his gaze Molly: Oh, how embarassing! * Molly quickly goes and slips on her shoes before coming back Molly: I believe I am now sutiably attired? Morgan I should think so, yes Molly: Good Molly: The rain has stopped when they step out into the courtyard. Overcast, the sky is a pale grey, a clouded blanket above the world. The streets appear quite empty, a few children playing tag at one end. * Molly smiles, taking his hand in hers, tentatively, almost hesitant * Morgan grips Molly's hand gently, eyes scouring the street * Molly grins Molly: Even a day as grey as this can not dampen my spirit this morning! * Molly watches him out of the corner of her eye Morgan Where is it you wish to go? Molly: I would like to walk to the market I think, for I am certain there was one just down the street there. Unless you'd rather be somewhere else? Morgan no, thats fine * Molly starts to head in the direction of the market. The cobbles underfoot bear the dampness of the earlier rain
